  • I have now received a response from RBS advising that loan claim is part of a consolidation loan chain and I have been offered 4 separate payments. I was just wondering is this correct?

:beer:Hi all just received a letter from RBS regarding an old Lombard Direct Loan. The letter states that it is a good will offer of £2069.57, i am very pleased with offer as i really did not think i would'nt get anything back to be honest. I have signed the acceptance offer and sent it off with a letter to ask if they can put it directly into my account rather than a cheque, as i have my account with Natwest. Does anyone know how long it normally takes for the refund to reach the account. So so happy as husband lost his job last month. Thanks to Martin Di and Amersall xxxxx:A:A:A
:j:jYaaaaay that is brill xxx glad to have done my little bit :D

Well done on your win :j:j:j
If you dont want the other 3,i will take them off your hands :rotfl::rotfl: seriously, when you settle a loan off with another from the same bank, they will give you a rebate of the ppi from the 1st loan, the remaining ppi is then put on to the second loan and so on and so on....
So you will be entitled to 4 payments if you consolidated 4 loans.
  • hi

This is my first post on here.....and it is because I'm getting frustrated by HSBC.

My OH and myself took out a loan in 2004 over 8 years and we now have 9 payments left of the loan and PPI was missold to us. After a huge amount of letters and complaints and finally getting a third party company involved (not ideal but we were becoming frustrated) by the lack of contact from HSBC. The FOS sent our third party a letter on the 05 August 2011 confirming that HSBC had finally acknowledged our complaint and would be making a good will gesture on the understanding that the PPI would be cancelled (with pleasure!!) - we had until the 19 August 2011 to action if not happy that this the case, we did nothing because were over the moon. OH contacted FOS end of August 2011 and was told that HSBC would be in touch with figures....no contact yet. Have tried to speak to HSBC which is absolutely ridiculous because left-hand/right-hand do not know what is happening and apparently department I need to speak to does not take calls (handy!). We are getting quite desperate to get this sorted because we are still having to pay £380.00 a month for loan and PPI and I finish work in 5 weeks to go on maternity leave and would really like this to be sorted. Can anyone else advise how long it took from FOS letter to when payment was actually made?

    :jWell done
Ask them for a breakdown of the figures, with this being a credit card, some only refund for a set amount of years,if you have proof that you paid ppi before their cut off, then send this to them and ask them to recalculate.
When you get the figures, post them on here and someone will work these out for you.
