PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Hate to tell you but I sent them (B/card) copies of old statements all clearly showing PPI with my complaint at the beginning of June and I am still waiting, it seems they can't find me on their system.
VV frustrating would be putting it mildly!
Can I ask.....Is your barclaycard still active or closed now?
Have you spoken to them, or FOS?0 -
Hi and welcome
That is so fab:T:j Congratulations!
And how long did this take?
Good luck on your CC PPI reclaiming as well.;)
Cheers, after 7 weeks, I got a letter saying it would be 16 weeks, after 15 weeks, I got the letter telling me the claims were being upheld, signed and sent the acknowledgement letter back last week.0 -
It is still active but the problem I have it that THEY changed the account number 3 times. My account was first opened in 1995 and was only 13 digits. Initially they told me I had never had PPI and the lady i spoke to was 100% certain, it was only after trawling through drawers, roofspace etc I came across old statements. I then emailed the CEO complaniing about being told lies. For my inconvenience I was made a priority case in mid July. Now since its September if I am a priority case I wouldn't like to envisage the timescale for the other non priority cases!!
I have just emailed the CEO again this afternoon for what its worth. I have deployed a different tactic in my email this time and instead of being bolshy and cross, I am being nice to the verge of creeping lol!!0 -

I am having the same problem with Barclaycard. They say they need a policy number - I've never had one either. So I photo copied a couple of statements showing PPI was paid. Still waiting for a response. So frustrating.
They're at it.Thanks to all the competition posters.0 -

Oh Golly! As far as I can remember, I've only ever had one account number for each of 2 B/cards since the early 90's.
I hope your email to the CEO gets a result soon - a bit of grovelling might help this time. I hope so. Please keep me informed, I'd be interested to know how you get on - if only to find out the best method of attack as it looks like the onset of war with Barclaycard.
Good luck.0 -

My casehandler at MBNA got back to me a day earlier than promised:
"I have taken on board the information provided in your previous email and have spoken with my immediate management team in order for me to get clarification on the issues you have raised. Regrettably, I am still waiting for this clarification and request a further 7 days for this investigation to take place.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me using the details below."
I don't mind him asking for more time as it gives me hope that they are actually looking at my complaint this time.
I've replied and told him I look forward to hearing from him in due course and that I appreciate him looking into my complaint and keeping me updated with his progress - creeping I know but if I'm nice to him, he might be nice to me :rotfl:0 -
