Got home tonight to find an offer letter from Lloyds TSB (dated 30th August) upholding the claim I put in for ppi on an old loan :j
No figures, as expected, but agreed to pay all ppi premiums (including interest) + 8% simple interest
It won't be much as the loan was only for £2k but it all counts!
Letter signed and it'll be off to them in the post in the morning
Fingers crossed they uphold by credit card complaint - 2 weeks left for them to reply
Hi
I have a LTSB CC since 1996 and have put in complaint, I complained that I was paying for PPI that I didn't ask for or needed, decision due in October, if you don't mind me asking what was your complaint and have you heard whether they have a good record for upholding complaints?
Thanks0 -
Hi PIP1966,
Congratulations on your win:j:jIf you do not mind me asking, could I have the Director's office email address. My husband had his offer letter in June and each time he calls he is told they are doing calculations and will credit his account in 2 days and it never happens.
Hi BH
Yes, of course. I started off with an email to Bob Diamond (CEO) knowing that it would be passed onto someone else so I will give you the email addresses that I have:
robert.diamond@barclaysplc.com
then I emailed:
Directors.OfficeTeesside@barclaycard.co.uk
Quote your reference number in the subject field then they can't delay any response.
Let me know how you get on and good luck x0 -

PIP1966,
Thank you so much. We will send email tonight. Will post result here on this lovely forum. I hope you get yours in the promised 4 days. My husband's one is a loan PPI with Barclays. The director seems to be for Barclaycard. Do you think we should still email them for a Barclayloan?0 -

I cannot tell you how pleased I am!!!! They did say they sent me a letter on 19 August which, curiously, (tsk) has not materialised yet and so they would send me a copy. I was told to sign, return and, if I had n't heard within 8 weeks, call them back.
Now we'll wait and see what they offer!! GOOD TIMES!!!!!
Thank you for all your help everyone!
Hi,
Congratulations!
I'm in the middle of PPI complaint with LTSB credit card, have complained that I was paying for PPI that I didn't ask for or need!
what was your complaint if you don't mind me asking?
I have asked a few people what their complaint was, to try establish whether mine stands a chance?
Thanks0 -

Hi Rae:D
Sent mr chan an email this afternoon. have tried the bolshy ones, changed tactics this time and sent a vvv nice one, even finished it with Kind Regards, did it around 3ish today so hopefully will have a call tomorrow.
In reality they still have until the beginning of October as my original complaint was sent at the beginning of June, but it's the fact they told me my case was being dealt with as high priority due to them telling me porky pies that makes me cross that it still hasn't been sorted!
Any joy with any of yours??0 -

A phone call to the Barclays PPI dept today - he was told calculation are being done and will take another 2 days. I hope someone can give us an idea of how much to expect.

Received a letter from First Plus today which states that they are "unable to uphold your complaint"
Where do I go from here?
I am so P****D off - I can't tell you!
They say that they had informed me of the cost, the payments, that it was optional yada, yada, yada.
All the reasons I had believed it was missold, they have disputed and said that I was told of all of them.
How can I get them by the short and curlies? I am fuming!!!
:mad::mad::mad::mad:
So sorry for your news, my 16 weeks are up with Firstplus next week, Amersall or Niggly will hopefully advise you what to do next. I would certainly call the FOS and ask there advice.0 -

Hi
I'd start with Bob Diamond - looks like someone passes these emails onto the right department. I didnt get a reply from my mail last Friday afternoon so sent another email yesterday to say I thought I would of least received an acknowledgement to my complaint and less than 3 hrs later, I did receive a reply.
Good luck x0 -
sara, no offence here but I think you're wrong, the main reason to send it back recorded signed for or special delivery is to ensure it is actually received and signed for to prove it is in their hands, I think you've been lucky though.
Some people have sent their acceptance forms back and they turn round after weeks of delay and the bank says they didn't receive it.
Plus I'd also add that you don't think the postman takes the letter in to the office and drops it off at the correct desk, all these large companies all have internal messengers to sort and deliver the mail.
I work for a large government department and all our mail is delivered to the front desk of the building we're based in and it is the building manager who signs for it, he then sorts it out and brings all the mail for our department to us, in another of our offices the same thing happens, and once we receive it we sort ours and distribute it to the relevant staff member/sub department.
In my own experience with the Clydesdale Bank, I sent my acceptance form back by Special Delivery, it was signed for the day after the bank holiday(delayed because of that) and money was in the bank two days later, can't complain about that, so well worth the few quid for the SD.:D
I was only passing on what the man at RBS told me.
I work for the NHS so know about the post sorting etc but thanks for making me feel good....will leave it to the experts nowInsanity is just a constant phase I'm going through0
