Hi all, had a couple of offer letters from Barclaycard, which is great. However, I need someone to check my decline reply to them letter and give advice if poss? thanks

    Dear Sir

I have found some more statements, going back to July 2005. All show PPI, and I will scan them and email them back in. The offer letter states that I have paid £686.40 in premiums. However, from the 4 further statements I can find alone, the premium paid is £162.65. I took the card out in April 1998, PPI was cancelled in Dec 2006.

I can prove I paid at least £960 in premiums from my statements from 2005 to 2006, and even if you were to low ball an average for the previous 6 years at £20 per month, that would mean a further total of approx £1440.

Please can you look into this for me urgently? I appreciate the offer but as I explained, I feel it is totally incorrect. Could you also confirm that the element B on the offer is compound interest on the card rather than just interest? I understand that the FOS state that I have to be put back to the same position as I was if I had not been mis sold PPI. My understanding of charges then, is that if I had paid you £100 inc PPI of £20, you need to reconstruct this as £100 paid off the card. This would then impact the interest on the extra £20 that did not come off the balance, and so on for every month after. Many thanks

    thanks all for advice

Talked to Goldfish today and I should expect a "considerably" higher offer tomorrow...
  • Hi thought people might need this. For anyone that had a policy with direct line financial services, although this was taken over by RBS the direct address to write to is. Direct Finance Ops, PPI miss sell, 1 Hardman Boulevard, 5th Floor, Manchester, M3 3AQ.
The lady at direct was really nice, lets hope the PPI section is as good!

On a separate note the complaint I made to barclays in may 2010 I should have received two more letters saying that they couldn't find the details! But as a rang today they have re opened my complaint
  • Hi
Has anyone got any news on when Barclays are paying out? They have had my acceptance letter since 9th Aug for £12,310. Made loads of calls and get a different payment date each time. Mailed Bob Diamond on Friday and not even a response either. I know its not a long time to wait but I just wish that they would advise when the payment will be made.

Oh and I got a letter on Saturday to say that they are increasing credit card rate from 27.7% to 29.9% :(:(

  • Where can i find the address to send the complaint too?

I need to send a ppi complaint too Capital One, Vanquis, Lloyds TSB and Style Finance. All of them credit cards.

Also need the address to send a complaint to Welcome Financial Service - this was a loan.

    Thanks
  • HI

Could anyone help me work out how much I should get back from HSBC? I phoned up to complain on the 30th June 2011 and filled out the necessary paperwork and posted that back on 10th July 2011. I phoned up today to find out the status of my complaint and they said that on the 25th August 2011 the complaint had been upheld and I should find out in the next few weeks how redress is due back to me.

I've seen there a number of ways that people work this out but was wondering if anyone could give me a rough indication as to how much I should expect? So when I get the letter from HSBC I can decided to either accept or reject their offer?

I took out the loan on 10th November 2006 and the total amount I paid for payment protection insurance was £3074.61. I then repaid the loan in full on 29th January 2010 and I was refunded £267.75 for payment protection.

How much should I expect to get from HSBC?

    Thanks

How many years was the loan over in order to work out the monthly payments for PPI ?

  • Hi All,

I recently raised a complaint to Egg regarding missold ppi on a loan from 2006 which they are investigating and will make a decision by november, my loan was sold to moorgate whom i asked for a copy of the agreement from, it has arrived and in the copy it says by ticking this box you agree to ppi and it replaces a signature. I am pretty sure i signed up over the phone but i'm sure i will be rejected on the basis of the box being ticked as others with Egg have reported.
My question is am i likely to be rejected and if so is it worth pursuing? Have others been successful even though agreement boxes have been ticked?
