Sent a SAR request to Santander and now the 40 days are up and still no reply and they have cashed my cheque!!!

    What to do next???
  • Congrats to all with successful outcomes so far and good luck to everyone still waiting. The 31st Aug deadline has passed with no response from HSBC. Previous correspondence gave a direct line for the claims dept. I have tried to call them today but it either rings out or the other end hangs up. I called head office and the guy said they would put a note on the file to say I had called but the guy also said that my case was with the FOS so I'm wondering if that is why I've heard nothing fro HSBC. I would appreciate if anyone could advise me what to do next as I've heard nothing from the FOS either since March so I don't know whether to contact them or keep chasing HSBC.

    Hi,

Has any one ever had their complaint against The Funding Corporation upheld, got a rejection letter (giving us 8 weeks to get back to them if we were unhappy with this)a few weeks ago and in the process of waiting SAR to come back to us.

Of course we are going to challenge this our complaint the last time never mentioned that it was a single premium PPI, with interest added on - So along with another few complaints we are going to redress this complaint.

But, from reading other posts this company do not seem forthcoming in compensating against misselling.
Has anyone had any luck with them?

    Thanks

If your case is already with the FOS then the 31st August deadline doesn't apply to you, that's why you haven't had a response from HSBC.
Its amazing how these banks can't even do simple calculations correctly..............

ive got a claim with hsbc its already with the fos and i was meant to have a final response by 31st august but still waiting

me too and I tried ringing the direct line today and it just rings out or the other party hangs up. Very Helpful! Wonder if its because our claims are already with the FOS? However, if they said there would be a reply by 31st Aug then they should have responded

    Thanks Derwent. I feared that.

    Absolutely worth a try!

FOS backlog is anything from around a year to 18 months at the moment

Whereas they will probably take no more than a month to say "oops, we makea da mistakea!" or "no!" so it's got to be worth a try?

Letter sent this morning to Barclaycard , fingers crossed !!!
  • morning guys i hope everyones well and you have all had succcesses right so im having a total nightmare with santander and my burtons menswear claim i had my claim upheld 2 and half months ago and apparently they have now sent me out two cheques but they have both failed to arrive!!!! i have been on the phone to tania steward several times which is costing me a fortune as its 10p a minute i last spoke to her friday and said she would ring my mobile on friday and get right on it for me guess what nothing!!!! phoned her today and she said all she can do is order another cheque WHICH IS GOING TO TAKE ANOTHER 2 WEEKS!!! she said it will have to be recalculated because of the extra length of time its taken to get my cheque to me. it really is a joke now so im going to write an email to the ceo does anyone have the ceo address for santander please?

i also am having trouble with egg they up held in my favour again about 2 months ago but only back tpo 2005 when i was paying it all the way back to 2003 so i sent in evidence of this and they sent it back in to be recalulated 2 months and several phone calls later and i havent received anything from them either i am hacked right off if they have upheld in my favour surely the recalulation should be sorted asap!!! so also writing to egg ceo so has any one got that address also please

im feeling !!!!ed right off today :( my egg credit card has gone over and ive got a missed payment charge as ive had to wait so long:mad:
