Hi All
Just to keep you updated with my claim with lloydstsb which on the 2nd August said they would be paying me back my ppl and I'm still waiting for payment.....after trying to get someone to answer the phone all day, I finely got them to answer to be told that they have "had a technical problem" and can't say when payments will be paid! has anyone else had this problem and does anyone know how long does it usually take to get money out of Lloydstsb??
should I return to the FOS with a complaint on how they are treating their customers?
Hi there
I would sit it out a little longer as it seems many are in the same position, have you tried emailing them as well?

Well done on your win by the way!:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Yippeeee. Just heard my 3 loan complaints and a large CC complaint have been upheld by RBS. They say up to 8 weeks to compile figures Any experience out there of how long they actually are taking?
Well done and Congratulations! fab news!
I've not actually dealt with RBS myself but if anything like Lloyds its normally 21 to 28 days after they receive the signed acceptance, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi, first time on the forum. Learning some valuable information!
Just received a phone call from FOS stating that Barclays were “defending” my ppi claim, i.e. it’s been rejected. This, despite it being one of the pre-20th April cases. No reason was given for rejection and I’ll just have to wait for further phone call from FOS tomorrow.
Try to be as brief as possible here. Claim was for a Barclaycard visa card from early 90s. They failed to acknowledge any of my complaint letters, so it went to the FOS in December 2010. Was put on hold due to the JR, while FOS asked me for some more information. FOS, incredibly, managed to obtain original application form (from 1991!). Anyway, Barclays then made the announcement of paying out on a “no quibble” basis to customers who complained before 20th April. I thought that was the end of the matter but, strangely enough, never received the “gesture of goodwill” letter from either Barclays or FOS. Despite frequent phone calls/emails to FOS and Barclays, was never updated properly on my case. In fact, Barclays have to-date refused to cooperate with me – ignoring letters, failing to ring back etc. Worst customer service ever.
Here is the really interesting part. When I stated (ok, shouted!) to my contact at FOS this evening that Barclays have to pay out to customers with a pre-20th April complaint put on hold due to the JR, he said that Barclays have denied this. They claim that the statement has been worded badly and they don’t have to pay out. Total rubbish, as far as I’m concerned. You reckon they are rejecting my claim because of it’s age? They cannot dispute I’m paying ppi ,as FOS have the original application and I have statements going back to 2002 with ppi added!
Seems like another long fight ahead!0 -
Hi,
it's a bit difficult for us to comment without the full figures and dates for the amounts you paid on the PPI
If you can post those, we can give it a crack
Did the card reach a 0 balance at any time throughout the card lifetime? (this is the only situation that is likely to create a credit balance (the £0 balance + the PPI refund to that date) to enable 8% interest to be due as compensation
Hi Tifosi
Yes the card would off been paid off numurous times through out its lifetime i know at the start the ppi would off only been few pounds as the balance would off been paid each month but the last time it was paid off in full would have been 4 years ago ! I know its quite hard too work out tbh im a bit useless when it comes too working out interest !
Thanks again for having a look0 -

Just wondering, I have paid off various credit cards/store cards in the past and have no idea if PPI was on these.
As they were paid off I don't have statements to hand so
a) how would I find out my account details and if they had PPI on them
b) is it worth trying to reclaim if these accounts are now closed?
Thanks in advance and well done to everyone getting their money back :T0 -

What were you reclaiming: Loan ppi (x6) (going back to 1996)
Who was the provider: Lloyds TSB
How much did you get back: Awaiting calculation ( but letter states, all ppi payments, 8% simple interest & all interest acquired with ppi payments to be refunded).
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: filled in 6 consumer questionnaire complaints, got acknowledgement letters, then letters for extension being granted, then letters to say all complaints are under one reference number. Then a offer letter, which needed to be signed & returned for calculations, await figures now!;):D
Thanks for everyones help & best of luck to all others in the que
Great news congratulations. Looks like Lloyds are ploughing through the claims as we got our letters today as well:beer:0
