Hi congrats on your win, great news, but do you mind if i ask a question, did they send you your figures with upheld letter,or did the redress figures come after the upheld letter.
I have had mine upheld with LLoyds, but rang today after sendng garaunteed next day delivery last week and told not yet scanned onto system and could still take a few weeks.
Also i have had three faxes with only one with my name on it on the acceptance form, quite angry about this as they cannot even get my name correct,so am dreading what my figures will be as i have had my card about 7 years with them.
:j:j:j:j:jcongratulations everyone who are winners :j:j:j:j:jxxxxxxxxxxx
Hi Trish
I just received one letter thanking me for my patienceand giving their "final response", and proposed offer.
My Husband had exactly the same letter last week - but he is still waiting for confirmation of payment.
Do you think they have miscalculated the interest?0 -

Hi I received one letter today also thanking me for my patience and giving me their offer which had the figures on it. We noticed that it said Interest at 8% calculated up until 20 September 2011.
Am a bit confused though about the figures (see my previous post) and we are going to ring them tomorrow and double check.
Good to hear about some upheld complaints from Lloyds in any event :j0 -
I have recieved the same letter today with 5 different PPI claim forms to sign and send back. It does state on my letter that all ppi paid and 8% interest will be paid back.:T
It does say to send them back in the pre paid envelope, but they havent put one in, did you recieve one and if so please let me know what address is on the front.
Did they let you know what the compensation amount was? No I didn't get a prepaid envelope either. Even though the letter did say there should be one.0 -

Hi
I was wondering if anybody could give me some advice, I am not sure how to proceed.
Today I received a letter from Halifax (after 16 weeks), after I made a claim for being mis sold PPI. I took out a credit card 10 years ago without knowing I had been sold PPI. The balance has always been around 1 to 3.5k.
Halifax asked me to sign the letter (in other words to accept the full and final settlement). However, I am reluctant to do this as they did not give me a compensation figure. They said once I signed the letter, they would give me a full breakdown of my compensation. I don't want to sign the letter, because how can I be sure that I will be happy with the compensation figure and it reflects what I am truly owed. Even though I cannot be sure I had taken out PPI for the full 10 years (as I no longer have the records), how can I be sure that Halifax will only calculate the compensation for the past 6 years and not the full 10 years.
Can I go back to Halifax and ask them to give me a compensation breakdown first, before signing the full and final settlement?
Any help would be much appreciated!
Hi
I cant see that this has been replied to yet so I thought I would!
At the moment the banks are sending out upheld letters without calculations to clear their backlogs. The calculations can take some time to work out and they have time limits set by the FOS in which to uphold or reject complaints. So in order to avoid fines they are sending out allot of these letters. Basically what they are asking you to do here is agree to the way that your redress will be worked out. Eg you should be refunded all PPI premiums paid, plus interest plus 8% interest returning you back to the same financial position that you would have been in without the PPI. Once you receive the calculations letter, if you don’t agree with the figure you can reject it. So by signing this letter you are not agreeing to the final settlement letter in anyway.
Hope this helps0 -
thanks Sunny email just gone off fingers crossed as they said it was their final response in their letter0

Debenhams/Santander
Both my daughter and i submitted seperate claims to them on the 23rd of Aug 2011. We expected to wait a few weeks before hearing anything but my daughter recieved a reply today saying her claim has been upheld. She has been refunded just over £500 and in the letter it stated she will recieve her cheque in 14 days. Well done santander for such a super speedy responce, 2 days should be a record. I have not yet recieved a reply to my letter so shall give it a few more days and give them a call.0 -
