Think they have stacks of these complaints to investigate lol, however, you do know if you do not hear anything by the timescale of 8 weeks you can still continue to take your complaint to the FOS.
Do you know when they received your letter?;) Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi
We took out a loan with Picture in May 2007. I had never heard of PPI but do remember the loan advisor discussing life cover and redundancy stuff with me. The paperwork which we signed also states (in small writing) "you have chosen to purchase our optional five-year Picture Payment Protector ........ the granting of the loan is not dependant on it being purchased".
I don't know if it was mis-sold or not really. I certainly did not realise that the PPI was going to cost us an extra £11,227!! Can someone tell me whether I have a leg to stand on or whether I should just chalk it up to experience? £11,227 is a lot of money to lose - it would completely clear my debts.
Thanks.YOUR = belonging to you (your coat); YOU'RE = you are (I hope you're ok)
really....it's not hard to understand :T0 -

Hi there
If you post over at the PPI reclaiming thread there are others as well dealing with this company, unfortunately though Picture had dissolved I think sometime in 2008 or stopped selling which now this is being dealt with through the financial compensation scheme, so if you feel you have a case of being mis sold, it will be the FSCS to get in touch with here in order for them to send you an application form.

or check the actual info on Picture here:

Was your loan/ppi arranged and sold by Picture?
The ppi reclaiming thread you will find next to this thread, click on loans first, then you will see that thread on the top part of the page, generally next to this one.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Well after visiting this site I decided to ring up HSBC and get all the details of the PPI policies I had had from them. There was 5 in total. I used the letter template and sent my letter to them back in November stating I felt that I had been mis-sold the policies and that I had felt pressured into having them as this would guarantee me the loan. I had 2 letters back saying they were still investigating and on Friday I received another letter. They said they didnt agree with my reasons however there was an offer of £3199.00. I was so pleased as it had only took one letter and I decided to accept the offer. Thank you to this site for showing me I could to this.
I sent mone of last week, just wondering how long it took you? Congratulations by the way!0 -
:j I have just successfully got £1001.12 offered to me from HSBC after only sending one letter by recorded delivery which cost me about £1. I was claiming back PPI on a HSBC graduate loan which I had repaid early but had not received sufficient money back as the total PPI had been added on at the beginning and i also believed I had been mis-sold and ripped off. I had paid out £768.63 but was also offered 8% interest bringing the total to £1001.12. What a result, and its all because of this site. Thank you so much. I am going to do exactly the same for my mam now as she has got one the same with Halifax.

I sent my letter the beginning of November. I received a letter saying it could take up to 8 weeks four weeks after this letter. I then received another letter in December stating they were still investigating. I called them last week on Monday and they said they will have a decision by the Friday, I received the letter on the Friday. So it took about 8 weeks.0
