    Thanks Dr...

    Very much appreciated :)
My pleasure, as I say I could be wrong about Citybank but they'll soon tell you.

Not had any luck working out who "Peoples bank" are yet, but I've got my thinking cap on.

Correction: I've been told Citibank took over the People's Bank UK credit cards. Can't swear to this, but might be worth trying them, again they'll tell you if it's not them:

paying for insurance that we didn't really need

    Hi Phil

Good luck with your claim and keep me posted. I will let you know when I get a finally descision from them, I have to allow them until mid September. They had a total amount of £31,000 for ppi from us upfront in eleven months how thick and stupid were we !!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi we got away from First Plus as soon as we could too!! we remortgaged, they were not happy and were really unhelpful when it was going through. But anyway we have had an offer from them and are now awaiting the cheque - the offer was for around £19,000 so we really did beat First Plus in the end!!!

Well done to you :T:T, how long have they said they will take until you get your cheque just out of interest.

hi got a ppi claim going thro since dec 2010 got a company called gladstone brookes on the case ,had a letter form llyods tsb about feb 2011 sayin we are sorry you are un happy about the ppi they sold me ,as i had a loan for £8.400 over 7 years i did make a claim for 1 month as i was ill off work would this effect my chance of a claim now , and every time i phone up gladstone i always get the same reply STILL WAITING FOR LTSB TO GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM and i phoned them last week i think my claim is taken to long now as anyone got advise on this thanks
If your case was put on hold due to the JR (this will have been due to the dates),you should have had something from Lloyds by now, dont think these claims cos care about anything but the fee they will get back.
Ring GB and ask what they are playing at,you are paying them for nothing, threaten them with these

If i were you,i would be very p***ed off with them now.

Doesnt matter if you have claimed on the ppi or not,if you win mis sell they will take this amount off your win.
  • thanks for the advise i will get on to them first thing tuesday

As far as I'm aware, they only apply money to the loan in the event of arrears / defaults.

Might be worth giving them a call to double-check and put your mind at ease.
Thanks for the reply, DrSqueeze - I'll probably give them a call, as you suggest

  • I recently used the template on here to apply for mis-sold PPI on two different Alliance & Leicester Credit Cards, on behalf of my mum. She received a couple of letters acknowledging the claim, whichgot put on hold for 2 30 days periods, she then received notification that she was going to be re-paid just over £800 for the two cards. Thanks for the guidance on here- very useful!

It actually says at the bottom of the letter "Please be advised on receipt of your signed Acceptance form your refund will be processed within 6 to 8 weeks". Which is quite annoying really as I thought they all had to be settled, and paid out by, the 31st August!!

I will let you know when we receive it.
