Did you see your letter ? My hubby was on the phone and the guy he spoke to said providing we haven't claimed ( we Haven't) or missed a payment (we haven't, just had a repayment holiday) we would get back the ppi we paid plus 8%. Hubby is worried he wont get anything as we took a repayment holiday.0 -

Yes I got two letters. We haven't claimed or had a repayment holiday at all. They said the offer was just worked out based on what the FOS advise on a general basis blah blah.
Are they increasing your payment?0 -

Hi, as I understand it (might be wrong) with loans you get the 8% as the figures are known from the outset, but with credit cards as the PPI figure varies month-to-month according to balance then it is calculated with the Contractual interest and then 8% on top. Contractual interest being the rate charged on the card balance each month. Please forgive me if I am wrong but that's how I understand it.0

Well, I have just had a huge surprise. Lloyds have sent me letters confirming that, while they have no details of my loans, they are willing to make a gesture payment of £1200 on each of them!!:j:j
It says if I have details of the start and end dates of my loans on statements etc, they can work out any further redress. Now, my loans are from 1996 and 1998 so I have absolutely nothing however I did try to get my docs from the DPA Department. They said they don't have anything but just confirmed the years they started.
I have emailed Lloyds to advise the year the loans were taken out and that they were over 5 years and asking to work out any further monies owed to me.
Does this seem fair? Am still happy with my offer regardless as was waiting on a big fat no!!
Hi Julie, Well done with your loans, I've had one upheld and paid out this week for £2800 from Lloyds from 2000 but I had all the details for it, but I have another two from the 90's that I have no details on but just have the bank account details that they took the payments from. Now you have given me some hope in pursuing them.Just out of interest what info did you actually give them, and did you phone the DPA department or write to them.
TIA
Nikki
Just found the account number for the loan:T:T as it was on the top of the loan agreement that I have just been paid out for. The loan that I was paid out for was a rollover of the loan before and their's a little section that says existing sort code and account number if to be repaid. Phoned up Lloyds and they have details of it even though it's from the 90's so complaint lodged, advised 16 week wait, but I have plenty of patience;)Beware!!!! Glitching is addictive:rotfl:0 -
