Good Morning.....
Good Luck to all winners today!!:beer::beer:
Thank crunchie it's Friday!!!!:T:T:j:jxx0 -
Wow so many success stories. I thought I would join this forum and be "special".
After months of waiting and getting letters from First Plus we finally got our cash back today. Over £4000 and a massive reduction in the monthly repayments. It was worth the wait and they only advise I can give is do it yourself ( I'm pretty sure on this forum this is old news).
Congates to all who have reclaimed and to those who are still waiting, the best of luck.
Added. We are about to try and reclaim our PP from a credit card we have had for the last five years. Can somebody please link me to a template letter or advise on how the opening letter should be worded.
Thanks.0 -

I believe that you dont im afraid, but it will be 16 weeks from the 13th may. As complaints made before the 6th may have the 31st deadline, those after 16 weeks:D:p Perfer et obdurai dolor hic tibi proderit olim

Hi k77mss
just wondered if you had any news from the lovely mark smith? or if you had spoken to him/ he will not answer my calls, since the last letter x0 -
Well,
has anyone got a chair handy, I'm feeling rather faint!
The post just arrived, and in it was RBS settlement for the PPI I first complained about in December 1999
After the arrears (£2.5k'ish - mainly as I refused to pay whilst they were witholding the PPI! - my credit history was already a mess, so WTH!) they have sent me the princely sum of £155.82
But, a victory is a victory!
Niggly - I've asked for a full breakdown of their calcs as I believe there payment is on the low side
Whilst I'm quite adept at loan calcs, cards leave me a little cobfused at times - could you take a look?-
Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!
:T0 -
My Lloyds TSB Loan Protection insurance claim has also been upheld! Woo hoo! Happy days :j:D
Just got to send off acceptance and await the breakdown now. Mega thanks to all the stars on here once again :T
Here are some calculations for ya to digest Niggly (or one of the other human calulators).
Original loan amount - £3,000
PPI add-on - £714.48
APR - 15.75 %
Loan start date - 13/08/2004
Loan end date - 9/08/20092018 wins: Hong Kong holiday0 -
I had my offer letter on 3rd August and returned the same day from Black Horse. Interest was calculated up to today and the letter states that "the interest has been calculated at 8% simple on each payment made towards the cost of the policy calculated from the date that we received the payment to the date that we pay the redress. This has been calculated to a date 4 weeks from now to allow us sufficient time to process the refund on the assumption that you return the acceptance confirmation to us within the next two weeks".
Well, As I said before the letter was returned on the 3Rd August by recorded delivery (it was dated 29th July) the money is not yet in my account, surprise surprise, so I finally arrive at my question lol, do the banks pay via BACS or faster payment as the payment is not showing as going in on Tuesday either ( which my wages are which are paid by BACS).
I requested it was paid direct to my account as the loan is still current so was given the option of my account or cheque.
Sorry for rattling on0 -

Busy week this week regarding PPI.
Got 3 offer letters from Halifax concerning 3 previous CC's. All letters are the same-all premiums plus 8% interest where appropriate, upheld-but no figures. Accepted straight away, now playing the waiting game for the next letters with calc's.
Has anybody had any experience of timescales between letters, i.e from date of Upheld letter to date of 'figures' letter?
Well done to all who have had some good news this week!
:beer::beer::beer::beer::money::money::money::T:T
Well done
I have just contacted Halifax (they received my acceptance this morning) and they are dealing with them in strict order of receipt, so no amount of my annoying daily phone calls will influence this (I'm still going to do it though :rotfl:)
They told me that they have set a diary note to have completed my payout by 3 weeks time.
So yours will be similar I would imagine. :money:I'm a secret crime fighter0 -

:j:jBrilliant! Congratulations to both of you!!:j:j:beer:0
