With the GE money one,see what they come back with.
The Barclays, you could request all data they hold on you and enclose all the info you can about you and this may throw something up.
This request will cost you £10,but if you get what you want then it is worth it.
Oops – I’m very sleep deprived at the moment, and I didn’t realise that my message could be read 2 ways – I actually meant that as well as sending GE Money & Barclaycard the last 4 digits of the account numbers, they’d also already been sent the postal address at the time, date of birth, exact start and end dates of agreements, not to mention my hubby’s pretty unique surname – and they STILL claim they can’t find any records of the loan/credit card without being given the full account numbers !
So - many thanks to Amersall, LynK, Riggsy1367 and anyone I’ve missed for your very helpful advice...we’ll probably try a mixture of all your suggestions, and see what floats murkily to the top !0 -

Well super'maths'man, how does this look to you?
Many thanks to you Niggly, DizzyDi, cappo, amersall, and any others who have helped, most thanks go to you Di you've helped me with advice on this the first time I complained and when it was rejected I didn't listen to the advice to go to FOS thankfully they've upheld this time around, thanks don't quite express it, so if you were next to me I'd give you a damn big hug, mmmwwwaaaahhhh
Brilliant news Smitchy! Well deserved after all the help you have offered other people, including me....really,really pleased for you!:j:j:j
Was this one rejected and you went back to them to ask them to reconsider before going to the FOS? If it was how long did it take for them to change their minds....sorry if I read this wrong!
Congratulations again to you and all winners today!:beer:0 -
Re my CB cc claim(thanks smitchy for further advice) emailed back the CEO, and PPI team to express my displeasure that no acknowledgement after almost a week to say they have at least read my emails(I know they have) as well as the ops manager for the PPI team(Carol)outlining the situation to her with regards to their final decision.Hopefully at least get some kind of acknowledgement-requested summat within 7 working days before going to the FSA with regards to non-acknowledgement of correspondence, then further taking my complaint to the ombudsman.
Good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi guys well done all the winners over last few days I was rejected (well hubby actually) by capital one and sent it to fos 28th march 2011 got phone call on Monday 22nd from adjudicator wanting to speak to him about or complaint (this is what they do to get your side) when I told her he works late she said she would email the questions to him and just to return the answers via email this is great as I can help him do this instead of him speaking to her as i've done all the hard work and don't want him saying wrong thing. Just wanted to post that to get to this first stage it's been 5 months I know a few people have sent theirs to fos hope this give them an idea on their complaints.
No news on any of mine this week but still hoping think my postie thinks I fancy him as I'm at the door every morning to greet him lol
just wondered if you had any news from the lovely mark smith? or if you had spoken to him/ he will not answer my calls, since the last letter x0 -
Spoke to M&S today re my claim for an old loan. Being looked at today should hear by next week. Feeling very nervous especially when I looked at my reason for misselling and I've only put 2 lines saying that it was done over the phone and I was advised it would enhance my application wish I had put much more detail.....................eeeeekkkkkk, squeeky bum time!
Well done to all who have shared their fab success stories.
Good Luck with this Lyn, as Smitchy has said you can always go back with more info if they don't uphold straight away.
For me the easiest uphold I got was after ringing to get some info re: PPI on an old loan, being asked why I thought it was mis-sold IF PPI was added to the loan, gave a one sentence garbeled reply after being caught 'on the hop' and 2 days later an offer in the post!!
Maybe sometimes 'less is more' and i am actually worrying that I have gone into too much detail on my outstanding complaints!! ('tho I did get a lovely 'upheld' letter yesterday)
Let us know how you get on. I'm about to complain to M & S about 6 loans I've had with them in the past. Can i ask when you had the loan and did you have all the details?
Fingers crossed you get good news soon!:)0
