    WELL DONE ALL WINNERS :j:j

LYNK-ive called cassandra today - said she has just come back today. apparently she passed details for someone to keep me updated and call me but they probably couldnt get a hold of me as i wasnt in country - told her my phone worked and no one called. Shes gonna look into and call be back today/tomorrow morning.
    that was about 9.20am.

Rae the person who was supposed to keep u updated initials wouldn't happen to be PG would they?
Apparently he was supposed to keep me updated but didn't hear from him until I emailed the CEO a fortnight ago to express my disappointment at their false promises, he called me the next day, to tell me mine was the most difficult case he'd ever had as they couldn't find me (sods law)! Some of the account numbers I've had have only 13 digits and are going back to 1995. I have a selection of statements from 1995 until 2000 but can't find any after that so my problem is I don't know when I realised I could actually cancel the damn ppi.
Don't know how long I should give until I email the CEO again my complaints been with them since early June so technically the 16 weeks are not up for about another 4 - 5 weeks.
I actually would never have emailed the CEO in the first place if they hadn't categorically told me I'd never ever had PPI when all along I was quite sure I had.
Keep me posted Rae if u hear anything at all.:)

Hi I have a Barclays question hope this is the right forum.

I've been dealing with 2 ppi claims on behalf of my mother, in 2005 she was sold a ppi against a loan of £15000 premium loan £3903, charge for credit £1168 total £5071 payments of £60.38 over 84months (this loan ends Jan 2012 and she is still paying the ppi) As she was retired she did not need this and was pressured into it. So in Jan contacted Barclays using this sites forms, in March went to the FOS and get a letter from in July stating Barclays will make a gesture of goodwill offer etc so good news and waiting to hear exact offer.

Now in 2003 my mother had taken a loan out of £7000 ppi total £1662 I found this out later she had take the bigger loan in 2005 to consolidate debts etc (a bit of a mess but it's being sorted) so in April I sent forms off to Barclays to complain about this as she was retired in 2003. She received a letter today offering £500 compensation good will as they have no records as it was so long ago. I have sent them copies of the schedule and agreement.

How can they have no records of the loan is this just a stalling tactic or is it really too old?

    Advice and thoughts appreciated

    Daren

Hi and welcome, and well done on your mum's success.

If you have sent them copies of the paperwork, then that should be a big help to the reclaiming, if there was no details at all then it would maybe difficult, however they are supposed to keep data going back to at least the last 6 years, but many have still been successful in making reclaims going well back into the 90's and earlier.

Some have been upheld - and not had any paperwork at all.

In regards of the paperwork, did you send this along with the reclaiming or since they gave the offer?
If you have just sent these now, then ask them to reconsider.

Good luck and keep at them x;)

Got my letter from Barclays today that I will get £4.200 back. I'm really happy. Thanks a lot again for the template and I can only advise everyone to fill the template form out themselves and don't fall into the trap of those companies who offer to do it for you. It does seem difficult, but I swear, if I can do it then everyone can.

Just to let everyone know. I posted that I had received a letter from lloyds at the weekend to say that they would be paying back my ppi on a loan.Well am in shock as today the cheque for £2,800 arrived. So it only took a few days for them to send it. So far this week between me and OH we have had cheques for approx £8,200:j:j:j:j:) Mine seems a bit different to most of the posts about Lloyds. I didnt get a letter saying that they were calculating it, just a letter at the weekend saying that they would pay £2,800 and not to respond as it would be sent automatically, unless I was querying it. Maybe it's because mine was from 2000.

That is so fab!:T:j Well done and Congratulations! x:beer:
