Brilliant news Smitchy! Well deserved after all the help you have offered other people, including me....really,really pleased for you!:j:j:j

Was this one rejected and you went back to them to ask them to reconsider before going to the FOS? If it was how long did it take for them to change their minds....sorry if I read this wrong!

Congratulations again to you and all winners today!
    Hi mumofjanda,
Many thanks, and the offers of help are very welcome, I like to return what I get and the way I was when I first started looking at all this, I was very very grateful of all the help and advice I was given, some not used, my fault though!!

I had complained about this about two years ago and was flatly rejected, but we had missed out the use of health reasons, which my OH has, so we went back to them after the JR and of course the whole new use of using the new guidelines issued by the FSA, their paperwork said they wouldn't pay out on ANY previous condition, through in some of the previous points about being told that if we didn't take it we wouldn't get the loan etc. So then success.

FOS was in the discussion becauseI didn't go to them after the first attempt, if I had this would probably have been resolved a year or so again.

Anyways, two loans down, just five loan ppi's with RBS and BOS CC.:D
Thanks to all the competition posters.

    Hi All,

Busy week this week regarding PPI.

Got 4 offer letters from Halifax concerning 4 previous CC's. All letters are the same-all premiums plus 8% interest where appropriate, upheld-but no figures. Accepted straight away, now playing the waiting game for the next letters with calc's.

Has anybody had any experience of timescales between letters, i.e from date of Upheld letter to date of 'figures' letter?

Well done to all who have had some good news this week!

    Hi to all

I'm new and looking for some advice please.

I have recently made some claims over the phone which have been acknowledged by letter. What is the chances of being successfull with these claims. Also how can you work out what you are due.
One i am interested in is a bank of scotland preference account which i have been paying about £80 a month for around 10 years. Can anyone give me a rough idea what that would be worth. I also have one out against Virgin money(Mbna) and one CC and one loan with Egg. When i took all out i was in long term full time employment with very generous package for sickness etc. I am two weeks since phone calls but cant get it out of my head so the next 14 weeks are going to be like dragging.

    Regards to all
    K

  • Hi All,

i just wanted to say thank you to everyone's advice. in particular for the free templates etc.

after a 7 week wait with Welcome finance the have finally agreed i am to be compensated just over £5,000! Which i owe to this sight :money:

here's the thing.....i had three settled accounts and one still with them. Welcome have said they put all the PPI into one and are putting the compensation the the existing loan. i have no problem with the PPI relating to my current loan but am furious that paid debts are being lumped into one pot!!!!

I think they should be caLculated separately. has anyone else been successful with rejecting an offer with similar circumstances?

btw ..i am still awaiting a decision on a pre 2005 PPI claim

thanks guys, you are an inspiration.

Im finding it very hard to get anyone who has experience of this :(
