PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Hi all

Just to let you know I had a letter from HBOS to say after investigating my compliant regarding PPI which I had on a loan I repaid early. I requested a partial refund and they wrote to me yesterday to say that they are refunding the PPI to put me back in a position as if I had never taken out the PPI in the first place. Dead pleased as I am £200 behind on my Credit Card and that wil clear it hurrah!!!


And all this after just one letter - welldone MSE crew huge congrats!!!

Just like to say thanks Martin for the advice on PPI reclaims, I had several loans over a period of years with the Abbey. Each loan had PPI and I used each loan to pay off the previous one, suffice to say that I waited for approx 8 weeks only to hear that they were still investigating my claim and if I was unhappy then I was to contact the Omburdsman. Then yesterday out of the blue came a letter stating that they were paying out to the sum of £1200, :T great result!!!

What can I say other than Thanks Martin; I claimed against Halifax Current account charges and my credit card PPI, in total I have received £5700.00.
Well worth the cost of a stamp.

Hi everyone,just had to let you know that I spoke to Ge Money yesterday and they said that the claim would be sanctioned and that I should hear in the next 7/10 days.

I received a phone call this afternoon confirm the payment would be issued in the next 7/10 days.

I was expecting to receive about £886 with interest .Wow what a suprise.Thank you Martin and to all the people on this site to help us carry on. Many thanks.

Hi sorry to hear about that, you may find the following thread usefull. Also we have a dedicated forum for you to get contacts within the industry regulators. Homebank unfortunately have a history of changing names, so im afraid you wont be covered, also the fee you paid for the life of your mortgage will no longer apply iether.

You are referring to a mortgage brokerage. Mortgage brokers are middle men between you and the provider, so yr policy is NOT with Homebank plc

Received reply: After sending 1st letter

Wrote to A+L in November and after 1 week received a reply to say they would look into my complaint afteranother week I received an offer. I had taken out 4 loans in the past and was offered £2,000, I then telephoned A+L as they had only worked my offer out on 1 of the loans. Today I received a further offer of £2,400 TAKING THE TOTAL TO £4,400. Now awaiting my cheque!!

MANY MANY THANKS TO YOU ALL ON THIS SITE THAT HAVE TOLD YOUR STORIES - I HAVE ALWAYS BEEN TOLD I HAD TO HAVE PPI TO ENABLE ME TO HAVE A LOAN.
