Right so Billys offer letter came from Santander, very quick, only rang them last Thursday, hoping someone can help with the figures,
Mortgage Payment care taken out in 1994, payments made to date of cancellation of policy are as follows,
Aug 94 - Apr 97, £18.77 p.m,
May 97 - June 99, £19.04 p.m,
Jul 99 - June 11, £19.23 p.m,
Breakdown from Santander is,
premiums £3,903.69,
interest to date, calculated at 8% simple per annum £2,708.18
The offer is £6,611.87, :T:T:T:T
Can any one tell me if this is correct,
Figures are bang on. Ran them through my spreadsheet.

I've had success with Nationwide.
I put my claim in on 1st June 2011, I had an acknowledgement letter from them 4 days later, my offer letter within 4 weeks, and the cheque turned up yesterday (5 weeks after my offer letter) - so just over 9 weeks in total
Hope that gives you an idea of the timeframe they're working to, although every case is different so don't blame me if it takes longer! :rotfl:
Thanks for that, maybe its on its way, think I was lucky with the Northern Rock one taking just 4 weeks to offer and I was just hoping all the others will be as quick !!0 -
Hi Started my PPI against MBNA last September, they put it on hold and I reffered it to FOS following this websites advices.
Just over a month ago the FOS wrote to me advising me that MBNA wish to now uphold my claim. I had to sign and return the from to the FOS.
In the letter the FOS state that MBNA have 8 weeks to calculate my claim and make an offer.
Has anoyne else had experinces of this, and does it really take them 8 weeks?
Presumabley they then have 4 weeks to issue a cheque as well?
Many Thanks0 -
Its been a good news day for me today.
Just been told by MBNA that my 2 claims (loan and credit card) have been upheld ! :-) However, they were unable to give me the amounts as the final calculations are going to be done later today. These date back to 1994.
Also, having rejected HSBC's offer last week because they had not included contractual interest, they have emailed me today to say my offer is being recalculated to include the contractual interest and they will advise me of the outcome asap.
Just waiting for figures now - hopefully they're nice ones !Its amazing how these banks can't even do simple calculations correctly..............0 -

I have also been told that taking them to court can be more rewarding as the FOS are more likely just to claim the premium + 8% any thoughts on this and how you go about things?
Most banks are paying ppi with interest plus 8%,you have to weigh up the one that will come sooner.0
