Postie delivered a letter today from the FOS,, basic response of receiving our details and complaint etc,,they are busy and could take up to 4 weeks for a full response,, im remaining positive with all the advice from Amersall, Di and Niggly that my claim against Norton will be upheld, so now we just let them do their job and hope justice is done.0

Apologies if this question has been answered elsewhere, but is it possible to attempt a claim for credit cards, loans, mortgages, store cards etc that you no longer have and also NO LONGER KNOW THE ACCOUNT NUMBERS OR HAVE ANY DETAILS on?
For example I know I've had an Egg card, but don't know the account number, have no old statements or anything...0 -

They (the dreaded Lloyds) are so bad at keeping you informed and when they upheld my claims on 2 loans they never gave me any sort of breakdown. But you're quite right to remind people that they still may have to wait. Thanks again for all the great advice from you all, .got to go now and finish filling in yet another job application.:A
Have you gone down the line of requesting a copy of your credit agreements to check they are enforceable?
TBH, if you owe more than you are likely to get from the PPI this may be a better approach for you?-
Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!

give all CC companies or banks which you had loans or CC with if they were within the last 6yrs, they should have details and most will have a ppi complaint helpline ( Egg for example will start your complaint over the phone).
Or you could request T&C's from them for a £1 if they are within the 6yrs/ active OR you can send them a SAR request details on these threads.
to get you started, Look here for info and reasons for being miss-sold your ppi
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/rec...nsurance#step2
Once you have had a read though and have your reasons. You will need to fill in a consumer complaints questionnaire. Which I would download, have a read though and familiarise yourself with the questionnaire and its layout. The questionnaire can be found here
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/rec...nsurance#step3
the main info you will need to complete the questionnaire is:- Loan account number/numbers OR CC account number/ numbers
- start date
- finish date
- and your reasons
then complete the form and send it off. If you ring bank or CC company they may have a ppi complaint line and can start your complaint for you over the phone but id get as much info ready before phoning them.
simples, hope that may help, good luck:D:p Perfer et obdurai dolor hic tibi proderit olim

I havent continued to read any further posts in case anyone else has commented but apologies for any repeats.
I got my Halifax cc ppi put back on my card and 3 days later they took it back to replace it with a cheque so i could do what i wanted with it. They told me they were NOT ALLOWED to put it back onto a credit card so pls pls double check this xxx
That could be interesting seeing as I have already withdrawn £600 off the credit card!! I did receive a letter from Halifax today (photocopied!!) stating they would reimburse it ONTO my credit card or they might send a cheque in the next few days... we'll see what happens next!!0 -

I have 3 loans with Halifax in past 6 years.
They have paid me back this morning £5000 in PPI. I did have a financial adviser doing this for me, so have to pay them 25% But am still happy with the result :j
Now i am looking to tackle the catalogues and credit card companys myself0 -
Another thank you from me.....
Called MBNA as the post says and said that it'd been upheld, was a little too polite for my likening (Lol) he told me £3733.83 was due and how it was worked out. I was gobsmacked; I’d calculated £1900, bad math, bad math!!!
I've won 2 now, unfortunately 1st was through a 3rd party, slap wrist.
Advice to anyone, you may think it's daunting when you get the paperwork, but think about it before you answer the question. It’s easy and the VERY nice people on here will help and they don't ask for anything, they do it to help other people out of their own heart. Not a religious person, but you are all saints, god bless ya!!!0
