Well, I finally got to speak to someone in MBNA's Customer Advocate Office to be told the following:
We received your complaint on 1st June 2011, and even though we have had it for over 9 weeks now, it has still not been allocated to an associate to investigate! It is likely that it will be allocated to someone in the next 2-3 weeks to start the investigations.
So, it looks like MBNA are working on a 16 week timeschedule as they will have had my claim for 12 weeks before they're even going to start looking into it
On the upside, the nice gentleman I spoke to said that I was free to give them a call for an update on the status of my claim whenever I liked - I might do, he sounded like a lovely fella :rotfl:
fingers crossed your long wait, equals a good result
give me a call some time im such a lovely fella too :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::D:D:p Perfer et obdurai dolor hic tibi proderit olim

but it will be nice to know your complaint has been upheld
and just a note again not a moan, if you have debts or are struggling please dont count on your ppi complaint to cover this, do not let your debt go un-managed
and best of luck to everyone with their complaints
Sound advice Marksman but in my case am being chased for payments on credit cards I have 2 claims in for but am unemployed and having trouble with payments. On one hand I have Lloyds harrassing me for payment and on the other need to know if claims are to be upheld because even though the money will go to paying this off at least then I would know my debt was less and manageable. E mailed them this morning, kept it polite lol but its really frustrating waiting for 31st Aug.:(0 -

I know it must be hard and frustrating and i really do wish you luck. Just have a plan B incase there is a delay with your complaint

Patricia,
as we posted above you need to be aware that the 31st of August is only the date they have to state yes/no to your complaint
They then have a further 8 weeks to calculate what they owe you and to actually pay-
Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!

Yes but at least if I knew it was upheld I would have the knowledge that my balance would be reduced even if it was going to take another 4 - 8 wks and that would be I huge help. They (the dreaded Lloyds) are so bad at keeping you informed and when they upheld my claims on 2 loans they never gave me any sort of breakdown. But you're quite right to remind people that they still may have to wait. Thanks again for all the great advice from you all, .got to go now and finish filling in yet another job application.:A0 -

hi guys if you remember i posted begining of week about blackhorse senior complaints guy not upholding my 2 complaints as this was not final letter i wrote back giving more reasons and asking him to have another look.this guy got involved after i emailed ceo (maybe i was better not doing that) and it was for 3 loans to start with wrote to me 4thjuly to say they had been passed to him but one of the loans was for a car and ppi was sold by the garage so they had passed it on to them.this morning got offer letter from blackhorse for the ppi onloan that they passed on to garage fromjust a customers complaint advisor amount is small £588 which includes £205 interest but i'm not complaining the reasons are the same for all three don't want to phone either guy incase they withdraw the offer just want senior guy to uphold other two as they are bigger first before asking any questions hope this makes sense.just noticed letter head guy sent on garage being responsable that was his final response on the matter!0
