    Hi Diz and welcome

Yes that is correct, the reclaim questionnaire on step 3, send to the ones responsible, the complaints dept or head office, post by recorded delivery and allow 8 weeks, also keep copies for yourself as well, good luck on your reclaiming.;)

    Thanks Di, much appreciated :)

    Hi ,

I called Bank of Scotland a good few weeks ago to inform them I wanted to complain as I had been mis sold PPI on the CC I took out with them and I wanted a refund. Just curious to hear your stories if you have been down this route with the BOS and how did it go ?
    :)
  • I am so happy,, I just had to share it with you and say thank you for making me aware that I had a case!

5 years ago I took out a loan for £7K with the Alliance & Leicester Bank for a new car, at the time the man on the phone said that my loan would only be agreed if I took out PPI insurance (even though I had initially declined it). Stupidly I agreed to take the cover so that I would get my money!!

2 weeks ago I read Martin's article on reclaiming missold PPI and thought, why not....what do I have to lose?

This morning I received a letter from Santander (who took over A & L) offering to refund the PPI PLUS interest at 8%.....a total of just over £2300 :T

I am thrilled that my case has been resolved after my first letter and highly recommend others to claim back the money they are entitled to!!

    Thanks again MSE :D :money:

:j:j Excellent :j:j:j:j santander are the best where claims for loans are concerned:money::money:
    • What were you reclaiming: PPI on a loan
    • Who was the provider: Egg
    • How much did you get back: £6780
    • Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: A letter and 8 week wait.
    • And then write your brief reclaim tale
I had made my complaint to Egg 8 weeks ago. They informed me when they received my claim and again after 4 weeks to keep me informed. Yesterday, after exactly 8 weeks, I received a letter informing me that they would need more time, until 15/08/11, and that I could go to the FOS if I wanted to. I decided to wait...and then today I received a cheque through the door.

    I am absolutely delighted:j.
I just want to thank all the usual suspects on here, you know who you are:A. And to everyone with claims ongoing....good luck.

    Chris.
