    Postie has just been received a letter from the Ombudsman regarding a complaint to Capital one credit card ppi. Acknowledgement Thank you for your correspondence, which has been received safely.
    We are currently receiving very high volumes of enquiries and it may take upto 4 weeks before we can provide you with a full response.
    If you have not heard from us by then please contact us.

    To be honest i thought it would be at least 5/6 months before i got a response from the ombudsman, hopefully then it should be soon.
    Has anyone had the same letter? Thanks in advance x

    And the best of luck with this.
    They are supposed to keep you updated regularly, and hope you will not be waiting too long now, I think the FOS are also trying to resolve them before they even go as far as the Adjudicator, because that can take some time unfortunately, but all crossed here and hope you hear some very good news soon x:)

    Fingers crossed themass, blimey, not much of a rebate on settlement was it?
    Never mind it will all add up with the interest of everything you paid, and you will receive the whole lot back.

    Cheers Di, it was one of those front loaded jobbies too, which in most cases are upheld but i dont know anyone whom has had success with this company yet.

    ok another update ive just phoned santander and some to my case worker lol it get me more confused she said that she cant get any records up pre 2005 but their system apparently pulls all my premiums paid from 1996 to current date and thats how they have come up with the calculation of £296.45?????? so i said right so ive only been refunded for the last 6 years and she said no our computers have pulled the premiums from 1996 to current date erm so how comes its only coming up with £296 when i know ive paid more??? erm well if you have any evidence to show how much premiums to did pay from 1996 to 2005 then we can recalculate!!!

    i only have records dating back to 2001 :( so what would be my best move please? if i send off a sar will they be able to provide me with info dating back to 1996?

    i really dont get how they came up with £296 when they havent got any evidence pre 2005 so they have no idea how much i paid on the money i owed !!! im so confused!!

    im very pleased that they have upheld but im sure of what statements i have that i was paying at least £17 a month on my high balance from about 1996 to roughly 2000 so the payments made of £296.45 on the break down doesnt seem in line with what i paid at all

    any suggestions please or am i just being daft and should except the outcome ?
    Hi there,if you have statements to show the ppi you paid ,then send copies of these with a letter asking for a breakdown of how they calculated this redress,maybe you will get some more,you dont know unless you try x.
