Hi All
Well this has turned out to be on of the best weeks of my life!!!
Had my second success today. :T
Emailed Lloyds Ceo last night and got a reply today saying my complaint had been upheld on my credit card!!
£2638. :j:j:j
They said they are sending me a letter out with all the figures explained.
One thing that puzzles me is they say they are paying that amount into my bank account?? I thought they would have paid off the balance of the credit card first and then put the remainder in??
So thats just under £14,000 won back in 1 week. yippeee!!!!!!:beer::beer:
:T:TI don't mind congratulating you twice in a week! Well done again Nanna...enjoy:T:T:beer:0 -

Hi,
well, as far as the A+L loan is concerned, it ought to be quite easy to work out as you already have the interest charge
So they should pay (roughly):
PPI premium @ £1625.72
Interest on PPI @ £498.28
Interest on the above combined from July 1st 2006 = 854.81
So total due would be around £2969.81
The above is simplistic in that it doesnt allow for any rebate they may have given if you did indeed pay early, and obviously the "July 1st 2006" is a best guess date on my part
Alliance and Leicester were fined £7M by FOS for their telesales tactics around Jan 2005 and Dec 2007, so although your loan was taken prior to this, I'd say you stand a good chance (mine was paid off in 2000 and they paid up!)
I would imagine they gave you "udder" half the spiel regards PPI being required
Best of british, hope they are as forthcoming as they were for mine!
Thank you so much for this working out, i wont get my hopes up as im one of those people whose theme tune should be "ironic" lol but fingers crossed xxxx
I did get one reply today from an email i sent yesterday regarding the two loans saying they will be in touch within 2 weeks,
for anyone wanting a hand in what i wrote etc this is it,,, sorry for long post
Dear Sir,
In previous years i have had a minimum of 2 loans with Black Horse, both of which had ppi attached to them.
The loan details are as follows:
Loan Agreement number *** paperwork states first payment due on 1/1/2006 (for £2000)
Loan Agreement number **** paperwork states first payment due on 01/05/2006 (for £3000)
I had done a demands and needs statement in branch but was informed that my loan would have a better chance of going through if i did take it out, amount of credit being £588.55 plus interest @ 21.9% totalling £794.39
The paperwork clearly states that i have other insurance that could cover me with a separate policy too.
I would be most grateful if you would take the time to look into my financial history with your company and refund any payments due back to me regarding payment protection that was sold to me when i did not ask for it nor would i have needed it.
Kind Regards
The response i got today was....

Not a bad reply and time length given to say i only sent it yesterday afternoon, only annoying this is i sent my Halifax one last week and not even had an acknowledgement and yet sent it to the same person, and yet as this one is to the Lloyds side they passed it over straight away!!
xx much love and luck xx

Can you also tell me when you first put in your claims to Lloyds and if you asked for the 8% interest on top?

Hi - just a quick note to say thanks for plugging away at this. I had a number of egg loans going back about ten years and as the director of my own limited company I'd never have been able to claim on the policies I was forced to take (they advised me at the time that I wouldn't be allowed to take out the loans without taking the insurance).
As it was so long ago, I didn't think it would be worthwhile, but I dropped them a line six weeks or so ago as I figured I had nothing to lose, and today I received a cheque in the post for just over £4k.
Happy bunny :-)
Cheers Martin!0 -
After reading the info on this site I decided to try for myself to reclaim PPI from HFC Bank.....It only took about 6 weeks to be offered the 2400 I'd paid plus 800 interest ...So thanks very much MSE and I wish everyone who gives it a go all the very best....CHEERS!
