Hi
What some do if they have no online banking is call directly in the branch who will or should be willing to check the systems for you, or email them, give them as many details as possible, full name, any change of name, all addresses you were under and so on.
Good luck.;)
Thank you for that, do you know the correct e-mail address and postal address for the alliance and leicester please.

Hiya and your welcome.;)
If you google in A&L it comes up as Santander now, so the details are on the link below.

Despite having lost all of my original paperwork, the loan being paid off over 5 and a half years ago and my loan company being taken over by Santander I managed to claim back my PPI!
I followed the steps on Martin's webpage - sending a cheque for £1 to obtain a copy of my original Alliance & Leicester contract. This gave me my reference number and I was able to complete the template to ask for a refund. My £5000 loan was taken out in 2001, I defaulted on my payments but still managed to pay it all off in 2006 [within normal 5 year period]. I thought I wouldn't be accepted for the loan without accepting PPI even though my employer at the time would have covered my wages in case of sickness for up to a year.
It took approx 6 weeks to get a copy of my contract. Once I had completed the refund template I got a reply within 5 days offering me £1500 refund! it took 10 days for money to be put into my account. So happy! Thank you so much for websites like this! The process is simple and pain free!:j0 -

I had 2 more emails for for 2 claims with MBNA saying they will be in touch by the 17th August, not bad considering i only sent contact through their website just over a week ago.
Hate to tell u but don't be holding your breath!! I spoke to them on 1st July, told me I didn't need to send them anything one of their PPI team would ring me within 7 days to get the info and I could make the claim over the phone. Despite 3 phone calls, one in fact being yesterday when she promised, 'someone will definately call you tomorrow', I'm still waiting, impatiently might I add, I will give them untill Thursday or Friday, by then my patience will have worn very thin lol!
No good news from postie today, but had a phone call from a very nice PA of David Chan (think that was his name) the CEO of Barclaycard following a rather curt email I sent him yesterday, expressing my displeasure and disgust that he hadn't even had the manners to reply to my first email sent 2 wks ago complaining that a member of his staff had told me I had NEVER EVER had PPI on my B/card which I believed in good faith until I had a good old rummage and found statements going back to the mid 90's clearly showing I was paying PPI!
She apologised profusely and said she would be handling my case herself and I can expect to hear from her in the next few days. She would personally be investigating 2 matters 1. The PPI claim and 2. The fact I was told lies.(fingers, toes and everything else crossed!)
On the down side think I might've shot myself on the foot by telling her I had currently a B/card but the claim was on an old one, (does anyone know if I happened to win would the refund come off my current balance or would I recieve a chq as it's from an old a/c)?
Also regarding my ongoing D Perkins store card saga I emailed the CEO of Santander again today to inform him my claim was currently with the FLA and I was hoping he would personally ensure it had a favourable outcome for me. Probably a waste of time but I don't intend to let this one drop! Bit like a dog with a bone lol.0 -
