Bless you too, I know its difficult as I've been there myself, but think of all what you will be saving.:j:T
And of course you can treat yourself to something nice as well.

So sorry to hear you lost both your parents at a very young age, that's no age at all, I lost my dearly beloved dad aged 69 last year and one of his conditions was that of a lung disease which was essential to me to stop smoking.
You will get there honey..............I promise xx:A;)

    Hi all

After reading on this site about people success, I thought I would give it a go and try to reclaim PPI on credit cards I held previously

Today I have had confirmation and a cheque for 2 of my claims

    EGG = £546

    and MBNA wait for it..........................

    £4662!!

fantastic and all as a result of 1 phone call to EGG and 1 Email to MBNA

Now for the other 3 claims!

Even my wife is digging out her Loan info to try and claim

    Thanks again for motivating me

    What a win......fantastic!:T:j:T Congratulations!
And all the best for the other 3 as well.;)

just to reply, loan was taken out oct 2005, i remember the convo with the guy simply because i had just started a job after being unemployed for 6 months (glumest time of my life)

I'm going to give the claim a try, nothing ventured nothing gained.

    Morning everyone,

Finally i've had some long awaited good news. This morning I received one of my cheques from Black Horse! They upheld my 2 complaints 6 weeks ago but had to wait up to 8 weeks for the redress. Today they have repaid me £1332!! :j:j:beer:
I'm still awaiting the other cheque, so hopefully that won't be far behind and should arrive next week :D

    Just waiting on 3 x Halifax, 1 x Barclaycard and 1 x Capital One now ;)

Well done to all the recent successes and good luck to all that are still waiting :D

    I'll try that too then.

I sent my questionnaire off on the 9th June. I had a letter back saying they were sorry I had reason to complain and that they would look into it. I then received a letter dated 30th June stating that my claim had been rejected as it was Egg's policy not to refund beyond 6 years and that I could go to the FOS if I wished.

My initial loan was taken out in 2003 and was refinanced in 2004 and I made the last payment in Jan 2010. I actually paid 2 amounts of PPI and didn't receive any details about a rebate of the PPI on the initial loan so have reason to believe that I was actually paying both till Jan 2010 when the loan was paid in full!

I rang them to say that yes the PPI was applied more than 6 years ago but I was infact paying it until Jan 2010 WITH interest. With this they said that they would 'review' my claim. They couldn't tell me how long roughly that would take and that was it. So I have no idea if they are actually 'reviewing' my claim or just wasting my time really!

I have had my complaint with EGG since May. I have just emailed this address, hopefully get more service.
