    OC,

what are those figures, surely a balannce on a CC of £4000 from 1/1/2010 wouldnt work out to a £4421 payout?

Hi hon, i started my complaint with them in may, so not waited too long in comparison to others, They did say in their last letter that they would let me know by the 19th July but got impatient so decided to Email them. then hey presto a result. Hope this helps and good luck.:)

    You're right
Sorry I was trying to illustrate the difference in interest on £4000 over the two Periods
    £4000 X 8% x 12 1/2 years = £4015 interest

    £4000 X 8% x one 1/2 years = £421 interest:o:o:o:o:o:o

    Hi all,

Well after over 2 years of my husband's complaint going on (20 months with the FOS) we had a letter a few days ago saying that Lloyds are willing to settle without admitting liability. Which is good but I am hoping they don't write to him saying to accept whatever they offer without knowing the figures (if you know what I mean?).

He has a credit card still but PPI was cancelled, about 18 months ago. He has had this since he was 18 and living at home, he is now nearly 30. He also had a loan (small one and paid off when 18/19) and we are not sure if ppi was added to that but I believe they were taking all in to consideration. The FOS also said they believe Lloyds should pay him £200 in compensation but will they still offer that?

Should Lloyds provide figures before we accept any offer?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    :)
I'm sure they will give you figures Main thing is its with FOS and you've WON:T:T:T:T

I wrote to HSBC in October 2010 about a mis sold ppi on a loan of £10000 which finishes October this yr, they replied saying all cases had been put on hold until the court case had finished so I wrote to the fos who have been brilliant they have contacted me each month to keep me informed on what's goin on n I have just received a letter from them stating that HSBC have admitted full responsibility for mis selling the ppi and have also said they had mis sold on four previous loans I had with them and are willing to make a full refund plus interest. I am just waiting for HSBC to write to me with the offer but have told this can take up to 8 wks, fingers crossed they hurry up n its a fair offer!

    Hi,

I didn't post about my claim earlier but i thought i would share the news now.

8 weeks ago i decided to try and reclaim my PPI payments back due to feeling I had been sold PPI when i didn't need it, due to having salary cover through my mortgage. I did mention this at the time of the application but was told that as the loan was for £25k it would be favourable if i took out the PPI to make sure the amount was agreed.

This morning i was sent a refund for just over £12k

Thought i would let you know.

    Thanks for your help

    J

:T:TAboslutely brilliant! Weel done. Can I ask when the loan was?:T:T
