Has anyone had a refund from Barclays for loan ppi who put their claim in before the jr and was put on hold then recieved the goodwill letter?.

Fab News today and all thanks to this site.

Originally wrote to hsbc in March 2010 to reclaim ppi. Got declined and referred to fos in July 2010. adjudicator agreed and advised hsbc to pay up in November 2010 but they still refused. Was passed to obudsman who didn't seem to be doing anything with it.

After reading on this site that somebody had written to the ceo of hsbc I decided to email them, also putting in the complaint about the poor service I received when closing the loan.

Within 2 weeks of sending the email, I have had a letter from the obudsman saying hsbc will settle and that they will also pay back the ppi on 2 other loans which i didn't even know i had plus £50 compensation. In total just over £10,000!!!!!:T

At least Barclays is getting its backside in gear. It's a shame that Lloyds TSB isn't as keen.

Don't worry, my patience threshold is still code green....For now anyway! :rotfl:
