What were you reclaiming: Loan
Who was the provider: Barclays
PPI Paid £1196
Interest incured due to PPI - £645
8% Simple interest per annum £971
Less early settlement of £43
How much did you get back: £2770.05
Sent complaint off in January 2011, like many others have been in the queue with Barclays but they did tell me when I chased last month that i would hear by 31st August. Got home on Thursday to a letter offering me £2770. I called them yesterday as letter didn't really say what happens and I was expecting there to be some sort of acceptance form to complete (like have with other complaints) but they told me that the money had just been put in my account....over the moon and thankyou so much to everyone on this site!!

Hi. I think i will try this tactic. Can I ask what you put in your emails, and what address you used. Sorry if its too personal!!
Big thanks and well done you!!!:T:T:T:T:T
Hi Sammikins,
I've dropped you a PM with details - will post on site too...Best of Luck, and don't be afraid to be persistant, as I think making a nuisance out of oneself helps to get pushed up the pile....

Hi,
I didn't post about my claim earlier but i thought i would share the news now.
8 weeks ago i decided to try and reclaim my PPI payments back due to feeling I had been sold PPI when i didn't need it, due to having salary cover through my mortgage. I did mention this at the time of the application but was told that as the loan was for £25k it would be favourable if i took out the PPI to make sure the amount was agreed.
This morning i was sent a refund for just over £12k
Thought i would let you know.
Thanks for your help

I have found this website & all contributors/helpers like Amersall, Di, Marksman etc extremely uplifting & a great boost to confidence. We are all in a similar position, and to hear encouraging news acted as a major incentive for me to 'go for it' Best of Luck to everyone waiting on results...Alan0 -
