PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Hi,
I didn't post about my claim earlier but i thought i would share the news now.
8 weeks ago i decided to try and reclaim my PPI payments back due to feeling I had been sold PPI when i didn't need it, due to having salary cover through my mortgage. I did mention this at the time of the application but was told that as the loan was for £25k it would be favourable if i took out the PPI to make sure the amount was agreed.
This morning i was sent a refund for just over £12k
Thought i would let you know.
Thanks for your help
J
Brilliant news :j:j:j:j:j:j:j
Still waiting on my Egg loan

Well that worked a treat......
AND another thing.... I promise final rant before I go to bed (working nights).... it was bad enough that people were misled (I soooo want to say ripped off but I won't :rotfl:) BUT then to fail in basic communication skills and keep people in the loop is beyond belief....
Thanks I feel soooooooooooooo much better now :T Night0 -

With reference to my previous emails regarding my complaint for mis sell of ppi.
I have had no response from Egg regarding these,i would have thought an aknowledgement at the very least would have been sent.
I would expect a company to treat their customers in a fair and appropriate manner, i feel this is not the case.
If i do not hear from you within the next 7 days i will have no option but to let the FOS deal with this.
Does this help?.
I believe that Egg and Citifinancial are part of the same company, and both seem to be by far the worst to deal with as neither of them provide any response at all.Its amazing how these banks can't even do simple calculations correctly..............0 -

Hi All.
Congrats to all today who got a result :j:j
I today contacted Barclays regarding a letter sent to me yesterday asking for a PPI form to be sent in.
I pointed out that I had already done so and that is how my complaint was started, but he said the one sent to me must have a reference on it, to which I replied it did not.I then suggested they had lost my original paperwork and he said POSSIBLY.
So I have sent a new form and a copy of original and all correspondance to date.
Are they stalling or do they lose important documents on a regular basis.
Mark :mad::mad::mad:
How annoying :mad: so you was probably right then?
The muppets!
Well I would ask them to treat this as a June complaint anyway, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

i have found that if you email egg at the cro.support@egg.com email they will not reply via an email but will write to you and this takes about 3-4 days to get a reply and i try to keep the email to them light hearted as i wouldnt be surprised they are being moaned at 24/7:D:p Perfer et obdurai dolor hic tibi proderit olim

The lovely Nerys phoned as promised... the number crunchers are doing their stuff to calculate what they need to cough up with regards to credit card PPI dating back to 1999 through to end 2005 (hopefully the whole period - based on PPI on balances varying between £2k and 10k)... should get details by end of next week... what's another week when you've been waiting since last November???
COMPLAINT UPHELD = WARM FUZZY FEELING
That is fab, plus the interest to date now as well to be added on top.:T;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
