Wooooo hoooooo!!!!!!!!
Interesting....
Just had a phone call from Egg further to my emails!
They have decided that after reviewing my claim they WILL be upholding my claim!!!!!
They sent me a letter dated yesterday with the breakdown of my settlement figure but should be around £4000 (will have to check the amount once I receive the breakdown. He did say that they couldn't tell me when I should actually get the cheque as they are working though claims in order but I my claim IS UPHELD!
He also did say that Bert Pijls isn't actually the CEO of Egg anymore, not sure who is then but he's been getting a fair few emails it would appear...hee hee!
Yaaayyyy!!
:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p:p See :rotfl:

Just had a call from Citi Financial to tell me my claim has been upheld and a cheque will be with me within the next 10 days
Not sure how they've calculated the amount though as its quite a bit less than I calculated but its still a significant amount of money - £5,765 to be exact. I'll be double-checking their calcs though, just in case they've made an 'accidental error'.
For anyone else trying to deal with Citi I found the telephone number 0800146188 very useful this morning - I got straight through to the team dealing with PPI claims on that number.
Wonderful :j:T seeing lots of upheld complaints today have made my day!
Congratulations that is brill news, well done!:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Just spoken with the FOS who have explained that this will be a long process and may depend on the result of lead cases to clear a path to some closure. Basically, Debenhams, Burtons, Dorothy Perkins card holders are not going to get a claim upheld in the near future!
AGAIN DO NOT TAKE OUT A STORE CARD, THEY ARE NOT WORTH IT!!!:mad:0 -
Hi all,
After reading that I could have another crack [geddit] at complaining to Egg about the insurance that just happened to appear on my ex-credit card...
Just got a cheque through today - details of the payments are:
CRP premiums paid = £2090.17
Refund of interest on premiums paid at card rate = £731.69
Interest at the rate of 8% as detailed above = £544.68
Total refund due = £3,366.54
WOW - this payment now makes us totally debt free - and we've got some savings now - Thanks to this website!!!0 -
