    Hi all,
After reading that I could have another crack [geddit] at complaining to Egg about the insurance that just happened to appear on my ex-credit card...

Just got a cheque through today - details of the payments are:

    CRP premiums paid = £2090.17
Refund of interest on premiums paid at card rate = £731.69
Interest at the rate of 8% as detailed above = £544.68

    Total refund due = £3,366.54

WOW - this payment now makes us totally debt free - and we've got some savings now - Thanks to this website!!!

    Congrats Alun!

    :T

Do you mind me asking when the card was first taken out?
    -

Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!

I sent a letter to my old Littlewoods credit card + £1.00 requesting original agreement, got a letter to say they were passing it on to barclaycard because they owned it. Got a letter today saying they couldn't find any of my details. I gave them the credit card number off an old card.

Also got the same response today from Bank of Scotland, again gave them the credit card number from an old card. They sent me a cheque to refund the £1.00.

Shouldn't the number of the card be enough for them to find me on their system.

Has anybody had a win from Egg Credit Card / Egg Loan where they got it and signed up to PPI online. I did this so am thinking I may not get the refund :-/

Just had a call from Citi Financial to tell me my claim has been upheld and a cheque will be with me within the next 10 days :) Not sure how they've calculated the amount though as its quite a bit less than I calculated but its still a significant amount of money - £5,765 to be exact. I'll be double-checking their calcs though, just in case they've made an 'accidental error'.

For anyone else trying to deal with Citi I found the telephone number 0800146188 very useful this morning - I got straight through to the team dealing with PPI claims on that number.

    Congratulations on your win.

May I ask if that was for a loan or a credit card PPI?

Just spoken with the FOS who have explained that this will be a long process and may depend on the result of lead cases to clear a path to some closure. Basically, Debenhams, Burtons, Dorothy Perkins card holders are not going to get a claim upheld in the near future!

AGAIN DO NOT TAKE OUT A STORE CARD, THEY ARE NOT WORTH IT!!!

I for one will not be letting this drop, I paid prob over 1k on ppi over the years with my D Perkins card. The 3 of us will just have to keep pushing, in the end they'll be so fed up with us, they'll refund us just to shut us up lol!!

    Hi there
Yes normally that is all they need.
Is the account still active or settled?

I know with settled accounts they tend to say they are no obliged to send these details out, but in case your not aware, you can still continue to make a reclaim, if you know you were sold PPI and mis sold, then go for it, as you do have the account number.

Follow the link below, to the reclaiming questionnaire on step 3, send to whoever was responsible to selling you the account, head office or their complaints dept, and allow 8 weeks for a decision, remember to keep copies for yourself as well, good luck.
Also just to add, they may write to ask for more time due to backlogs.

    Hi Maggie
Funny enough I'm sure I did come across some success on one of the separate threads below today, check if out when you have 5, good luck with yours and remember as well, it may have been a case of opting out and not in, so it was possibly already added, in this case its assumed it was all part of the credit card.
    Keep at them, good luck.;)
