Lets hope I don't have to wait too long
I don't mind waiting (well a little while anyway) if I know it's been upheld, it's when you are waiting for the decision that I can't stand!
Hopefully my other 2 with Halifax will be successful too. Fingers crossed
Thanks for all your help Di and everyone else :j
Yeah I know what you mean.;) I am not the patient time, which was why I was emailing all the time for updates, they probably couldn't wait to get me off their backs......:o:D:rotfl:.
I'm sure all yours will be ok, I have a good hunch.:j Fingers crossed and its with great pleasure x;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi
I am looking for advice please. i was rejected today from Chelsea about my PPI claim that was attached to my mortgage. They sent me copies of the paperwork I ticked to say i want PPI.
With chelsea you have got to fill in all your paperwork yourself and i was I did not understand at the time what the consequences were by ticking the box. i cant deny thye tick as it looks like i have done it.
Would I have a case with the FSA to say because i had to fill in the paperwork myself with no help in filling in a mortgage application I would be considered to reclaim back my PPI.0 -
Just recieved a letter from Aviva regarding my welcome loans saying thank you for returning your completed questionaires ( all 8 of them ) thhese will be reviewed and we will write to you again on or before 27th July. But it does say however I am unable to confirm at this time if Aviva is the correct company to answer your concerns . Does anyone know if this is a standard coment ? Thanks
Hi there
I take it Welcome Finance was your broker then?
If so you go to them, but if they were not regulated, then you can try the insurer/underwriter, the Financial ombudsman service (FOS) will generally suggest this area of the insurer if the business who sold and brokered your loan was not regulated by the FSA, where the insurer was, but you normally take the first steps with the broker first.
When did you take out your loan/year?The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

these loans were 2003 and before . Benn to welcome finance they sent letter saying they are looking my 2003 to 2005 loans but the ones before I need to take up with the broker as per the financial ombersman. So the policys were with Norwich union . So they sent me 8 questinairs for 8 different loans and that was the response I got. So not sure if this is just a standard note on letter from Aviva or not0 -

Hello there
Sorry about the rejection, but I feel maybe Dunstonh and/or MagpieCottage may be able to help on this one.
With it being Mortgage PPI, I have posted a new thread where you can post this below, title it something "Mortgage PPI", its still within the ppi reclaiming threads, but then you will get the right help on this, good luck.

Hiya
I would contact the FOS to check on this, even though the FOS will expect and suggest the insurer direction anyway, the insurer will deny liability probably as they did with mine, but the FOS will then be able to take it on if it fails as the insurers are regulated where the broker may not have been.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

It makes a huge difference!! this is ppi that is in effect another loan that you pay to term end with interest, this is a very costly insurance!!!!.good luck and please keep us posted x.
Thank you amersall!! Oh i am sooo excited!! I don't want to get too over whelmed just in case, as i never seem to have any luck...hopefully, this will change very soon!! Yes, your right, very, very costly policy that we didn't need as we have private policies in place and very good employee sickness benefits also, which covers us. The lady said i should hear by the end of the week as it will be signed off today/tomorrow, so you guys will be the first to know...thank you..keep fingers & toes crossed for me!! :j xx0 -
Thank you I will do I just want wants mine . Iv been ripped off for too long from welcome. Did you win in the end or does it take forever
Your welcome.;) No pun intended lol.:D;)
Unfortunately mine is still going on, my broker who sold the loan Click Finance dissolved in 2006, but when I taken out the secured loan in 2004 they were not regulated by the FSA, the lender Endeavour, and the insurer - Hamilton.
Its been rather complexed and it will be 3 years almost its been within the FOS.
However, I did read some success not long ago on here - Aviva the underwriter/insurer and sure yours will not take as long, it didn't help with mine because at first I could not find all the appropriate documents, and I have now, it could have been resolved sooner I think otherwise, but keep yours going you will get there.:)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

You will do just fine, these policies that many of us have been mis sold with have been successful, a front loaded ppi policy is a complaint in itself.;) xThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0
