Thank you Di3004, i much appreciate your advice!!
I really hope we get it back as it was a case of miss selling and i strongly documented that in the letter and questionnaire they sent to me. Does it make a difference with it being front-loaded ? i have trolled through a lot of posts but haven't found much on it??
Thank you Di :-) xx0 -
Hiya
Thanks for posting your update, and yes in my opinion that is obviously an upheld complaint, so well done!:T:beer:
Good luck on HBOS as well, I understand some have made complaints about PPI, and they were not sold it in the beginning, so I can see what she is saying.;)
Thanks Di
I did think it sounded like it is going to be upheld as it is with the calculations team but didn't want to sound thick and ask her! Lol
Yes I can understand her point exactly. She was the most helpful person from Halifax that I have spoke to in the past 7 months. At least I know now that they are looking into my complaints and they aren't still sitting in a pile waiting to be looked at!0 -

Well done to you too. Did you speak to the lovely Nerys by any chance. She is the one I have been dealing with for last couple of weeks and she too is going on holiday for 2wks from Friday!!!
Come on MSE'ers keep the pressure on these banks :j0 -

Yes it was the lovely Nerys, she was so helpful and told me what I wanted to know and what i've been asking all along but no-one else would give me any answers.
Did she push for yours to get resolved?0 -
Thanks Di

This is exactly why I have chosen to email them.
Just want an update so that I know whether someone is actually looking into my claims.I'm a secret crime fighter0 -

Exactly that is all I wanted to know and it's took so many emails and being fobbed off by different people to eventually find out. It's not a trivial question so why do they find it so hard to answer it?!
The last lady I spoke to was so lovely and didn't have a problem answering any of my questions
Have you got any answers yet?
Good luck0 -
It took a while to complete all of the paperwork but with the templates provided on this website I managed to get a refund from Egg loans. The loan had been running for a number of years but when I was taken seriously ill the insurance would not pay out due to me being self employed. Egg have credited my loan account with £1286.00 and sent me a cheque for a further £5000.00.
It may seem difficult and tedious at times to complete the paperwork but if I was being paid on an hourly rate I just earned myself around £800 per hour.
Huge thanks to Martin and the team at money saving expert!:money:0 -

Hiya
with it being front loaded, you do have a stronger case, as they do not sell these type of policies any longer.
I think you will be fine.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Its possible they too have extra time to deal with the complaints due to the backlog, but I would give them a ring for the quickest way of asking for an update, they will be able to let you know over the phone.
Wishing you luck on your reclaiming, please let us know how you get on and keep chasing them.;)[thanks for the advice- will definately keep the forum updated- it amazes me how people are so kind and willing to help one an another, restores my faith in humanity lol....
i am hoping i have a successful claim as it would help massively, i dont really have a timescale in mind as long as its a happy ending , i shall give them untill the 14th deadline day and then call:cool:]
The very best of luck, stay strong. x;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0
