Hi there

My complaint is from November 2010. Got the usual fob offs but then started emailing CEO on a regular basis. Was passed around the houses a bit but wouldn't let it go.

antonio.osorio@lloydsbanking.com

He's the CEO of Lloyds banking group which took over Halifax which took over Bank of Scotland.

Make it clear that complaint is with BOS and quote their reference number too!!!! Give it a go you've got nothing to lose.

Good luck

Hi mandy1cat,

Sorry to butt in! I'm having the same trouble. I submitted 3 PPI complaints with Halifax early December last year and keep getting the usual fob offs. I've emailed the CEO of Lloyds several times which gets passed on to Halifax Customer Services. They then ring to tell me the same thing everytime that my complaints are yet to be dealt with and they cannot give me a timescale. I've emailed him again this morning saying this isn't good enough, I have been waiting 7 months, blah blah blah.
Hopefully this does the trick! ;)
How often have you been emailing him? Until now did you get the same response as what i'm getting?

Congratulations by the way :j

Booooooooo to HSBC!!
I called them last week (Service Quality Department) regarding my claims that were sent on 9th May 2011. They don't know their !!!! from their elbow!
The FIRST person I spoke to said that my case was on hold due to the JR????? !!!!!!??????
When I politely pointed out that my letter was sent AFTER the JR, she was then flustered and passed me on to someone else. This person them stated that they had received my letters and they have now got 16 weeks to deal with them (correct!) so it would be 16 weeks from TODAY's DATE when I would receive a response (wrong!!)
When I again, very politely, pointed out that they had already had 8 weeks and according to the FSA extension they had 16 weeks from the receipt of the letter (according to the dates) that would surely mean that I would be waiting another 8 weeks, NOT 16 weeks?????
SILENCE..........
Oh yeah, you're right so you will hear from us by 19th August!!! OMG what a bunch numpties!!
I cannot believe that a company such as HSBC would fail to brief their staff so dismally that the customer has to inform them of what is going on...........its utter incompetence!! Especially as I called their "complaints department" not some bod in a call centre.
Ridiculous!!
Not holding my breath for 19th August but I have reference numbers for the calls that I have made so will be chasing with intent!!

Good luck to anyone else with HSBC.................lets harass them into submission!!

I would "imagine" that it is "possible" it's not so much a case of failing to brief their staff as their staff behaving in such a manner that people will just accept what ever rubbish is thrown at them and wait much longer than they should

Don't forget, not everbody that calls up is as clued up and informed as MSE regulars, so most would probably just begrudgingly accept whatever they're told

:(

Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!

After Virgin MBNA last week knocked back the FOS' upheld decision (which has now gone an Ombudsman for final review -first complained to MBNA in May 2010) I received a letter from the Co -Op yesterday.

I complained just six weeks ago a they made an offer of the PPI premiums, the interest paid on them plus 8% so a tidy sum of around £7k!

This will pay off my Co-Op card and most of another card.

Thanks to all on this site as I really was at such a very low point in my life and felt hunted by these people as I was in a very difficult space and couldn't really see a way out but this site taught me to never give up as there is light at the end of the tunnel.

I am not celebrating the payout and will just pay it off and move to the next one. I want to become debt free and will never forget the low point I was at and will never ever get into that situation again.

Keep faith.

Well done :j:j xxx
Onwards and upwards? :D:D

I emailed at least twice a week and if I didn't get a response I just emailed saying I'd sent this email again just in case he missed it the first time lol. I've had x3 different "experienced" members of staff write saying they are dealing with it! Phoned the last one and apologised in advance for use of fragrant language but said basically I just wanted to be kept in the loop and that's exactly what she did. After months of fob offs she has progressed it in two weeks.

Oh and in one of my last emails I may have mentioned the Fraud Act (as quoted by beamerguy on here) and asked for his comments. Not sure if this tipped the balance in my favour lol

Just keep at them!!!!

I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with Central Capital?
I wrote to them 2 months ago, with the help of you guys & martin with regards to mis-selling of PPI in 2008...i rang them this morning and the lady said she could not tell me anything at present, as my response had went to be signed off?? and things could change, therefore, she could not tell me anything but the response would be in the post to me when the signing off was completed!!!
Im totally confused.com....can anyone help?xx

Thanks mandy1cat :D

I have been emailing him every couple of weeks. The staff I speak to will tell me nothing just stuff I already know, like about the JR or the FSA extension on dealing with complaints. Some I have spoke to have been really lovely where as some are the opposite (make you feel bad for chasing them up!) :(
I'm hoping this last email does the trick as it wasn't my usual polite one. It wasn't horrible, I just expressed my disappointment with being given the run around by Halifax for the past 7 months!
Fingers crossed :)

My Husbands credit card company MBNA sent him a letter dated 8th June saying Thankyou for contacting us. We are currently investigating your complaint and we will issue a response within 28 days. But nothing as yet. Does anyone have the email address for them? Thanks in advance x
