This week the 8 weeks is up for my NRAM claim and we haven't heard anything so I gave them a ring this morning and they said our complaint is still in head office and it is still in the 8-12 week period so i'll give them another 4 weeks to contact us with hopefully good news :D.

The NRAM claim successes seem to have gone quiet lately after a run of them

    Good luck, keep at them.;)

    Hi there

Yes of course, if you think you were mis sold the give it a go, you just require your reasons and the account number.

You can do this by completing the reclaim questionnaire as on step 3 below, send to the main head office/or the details on any statements you have, and allow 8 weeks for a decision, remember to keep a copy for yourself as well.

    Good luck.

We had mortgage protection with pinnacle for about 6 years but decided to cancel it cos it wouldnt even cover the mortgage repayments and you had to give 2 months first and they would only pay it for a year max. Would there be a case for complaint there? And has anyone else claimed ppi back off cardiff pinnacle?

    Hi everyone,

Just to say I'm delighted to report that I've just received a cheque through the post for £486 from Egg! I only sent the form (care of the Moneysavingexpert site) to them six weeks ago!

    Well worth doing! :j

  • - Reclaiming PPI on a personal loan for a car
    - Provided by Egg plc
    - Got back £1,705.22
    - Took 5 months but very worthwhile!
    - Took out the loan in 2004, posted my initial complaint Feb 9th 2011, Egg confirmed receipt days later, then after 4 weeks gave an update saying they were trying to find the original conversation. Then another update same again after 8 weeks. Gave them another 4 weeks as the letter said they appreciate my patience and stated they would contact again if there was no result after 4 more weeks. 4 weeks passed with no contact and when I phoned to query this the guy essentially told me they didn't have to make that contact despite the letter saying they would. Very disappointing as I could have referred to the Ombudsman after 8 weeks. Next I sent Egg the letter stating I wanted them to look into it and contact me within two weeks or I would go to the Ombudsman. No contact so then I reported it to the Ombudsman service and received confirmation days later. Then soon after I received a letter from the Ombudsman service explaining what happens next and how they will contact me with developments. Then around 3 weeks later a letter from Egg came exactly 5 months after the original complaint, on July 9th saying after completing a full investigation my complaint had been upheld and enclosed was a cheque for £1,705.22, which included my payments made, interest paid and the 8% on top! Result!

I would highly encourage anyone with a claim to get it in, it really is just a few letters with some persistence and you could get your money back!

Many thanks to Martin and everyone on moneysavingexpert for providing the forms to send and a comprehensive guide on how to go about the process. This made the diffference for me and got me to do it and it has paid off!
