If you have the account number (card number) and have proof of ppi going back further than the date you cancelled, then look here for reasons for mis sell

if any/all apply to you,then put a complaint in.0 -

However they say I took out my credit card in 2000 and as they only hold records for 6 years they are only offering me 2003 - 2004 refund. If I can provide any ealier statements they will change my offer. Obvioulsy I don't have statements for the period 2000 - 2003 so should I accept the £500, which incidently will be applied to my outstanding balance as I currently pay them throught the CCCS?
I know posts move really quickly here but could I get a bit of advice please. Is it true that they will only go back 6 years unless you can provide statements going back further?:j:j:j MY PPI JOURNEY :j:j:j
NATWEST BANK £12,426.51, BARCLAYCARD £4,161.76, MBNA £3,034.23, TESCO £458.020 -

I suppose the problem is that if you don't have records going back that far, and the bank doesn't either, it's going to be very difficult establishing what happened.0 -
Today we received a letter back saying that he did not orriginaly request PPi on his postal application(when he is sure he applied online and this was a pre-ticked box) and that he requested PPi to be added in december 2005 when he rang to activate his new card. Which he says he did not do.0

Hi all G’day. Received a letter from Blackhorse just stating (in short)
Thanks for your email received on the 6th July 2011 addressed to our Chief Executive. I have been asked to respond on his behalf.
Or letter sent on the 7th June was a template letter sent in response to your information request. The wording “including payment Protection where purchased” is included to make customers aware that if they had purchased a policy the details are included on the credit agreement.
I can confirm no policy (in short)
Is that right – are they allowed to word letters like this? or did I miss read this one?0 -
im doing these one by one instead of doing 1 big long email.
after calling shop direct yesterday and was promised a phone call i called again as i didnt receive it. anyway got todays post and letter from them saying its on hold until the 3/8/11 as well as a phone call from the case worker advising she will be dealing with shortly so to bear with her.
i told her not a problem as i had a letter - so looks promising as she said it was one of the managers who makes the calls to assess the cases and then pass them to the handlers. (no i am thinking positive of this as if they were gonna reject they would have done it by this like everyone else.
nothing from citi - but i did say i was giving them till tuesday as

I think this is beginning to take over my life, much to the amusement of my husband I am running about with a large folder full of info and complaints!! He thinks I'm mad and we will never get anything back!!
LynK, my wife is exactly the same thinks i'm off my head i've got a big folder full of statements, and loan agreements etc copies of all the letters then add in the calculations of what we might get back etc etc, of course I've said to her, seen as I'm doing all the work with the complaints, any redress we get I'll spend it seen as she doubts it, you should try that with your hubby and he might give you some support! hehe:rotfl:Thanks to all the competition posters.0 -
