Hi Rae....congrats on your win from cap 1!!!! Can i ask you a couple of questions....when they said you added it in a phone call to activate a card, was this in a letter that said it was their final response?! As i have has the same response saying my partner added it when he activated a card a year n half after he opend the account. Apparently he didnt orriganly request it when opend in july 04 but then asked to have it added during this call in december 05 when his employment as a soldier was still the same and he swears he didnt ask for this and i doubt he would have done as he would never have been coverd.

    What did you do next??!!

Your help would be very much appriciated!!!:)

this is my 2nd email to the CEO on the 05.7.11
    Dear Mr FairBank

I am quite surprised i have not had a reply / acknowledgement from you in relation to my email below.

One point i forgot to add.

The paper work which is my original contract shows i ticked no to everything even the cash back when i took the card out - HONESTLY - why would i say yes the following year when my circumstances had not changed.

    Regards

then i had a reply via email today from the executive team who deal with complaints with the acceptance form to complete and return to them.

best thing email the CEO - he will get fed up and send to correct team at least he will be working for the pay he is getting.

    AHHHH someone help.

I am on the phone with Barclaycard. They have just told me that because my PPI was cancelled in 2005 that I am not entitled to claim any missold PPI back.

    Is this true??

    Martin

As Amersall said FALSE..............Not to fill you with an overwhelming feeling of confidence (??)......but I used to work at Barclaycard (not for Barclays) and the 8000+ staff that work there, in my experience are ALL a bunch of numpties! Keep on at them and ask to speak to a manager.

Also.....if you intend on speaking to a supervisor/ manager, call between 10am and 2pm if you can, they generally have their meetings early AM and late PM!

    Hope that helps, good luck!

    Hi Martin

That's a load of bulls dollop!
You get back to them matie and tell them, this is not the case, and you have been informed that you can still make a reclaim, and its only now recently you became aware of the mis selling, had if you known sooner then you would have obviously had pursued this by now.
So do not hold back, keep at them and let us know what they say, good luck. x;)

I know posts move really quickly here but could I get a bit of advice please. Is it true that they will only go back 6 years unless you can provide statements going back further?

    Hi

If they tell you this ignore them, its when you became aware, you tell them that too, it does however also help to have as much info as possible, but do what you can, and give details that apply to your reasons for being mis sold, good luck. ;)
