Hi all G’day. Received a letter from Blackhorse just stating (in short)

Thanks for your email received on the 6th July 2011 addressed to our Chief Executive. I have been asked to respond on his behalf.

Or letter sent on the 7th June was a template letter sent in response to your information request. The wording “including payment Protection where purchased” is included to make customers aware that if they had purchased a policy the details are included on the credit agreement.

I can confirm no policy (in short)

Is that right – are they allowed to word letters like this? or did I miss read this one?

Does the agreement you have state ppi and the amount?,if it does then send a copy of this to Black horse, and ask them to look at this again.

"Whilst I am confident that the PPI sale took place when you activated your replacement card, we have been unable to confirm a specific date as to when this call took place. Therefore, to resolve matters for you, we are prepared to refund all premiums added with the associated interest. This refund consists of £1,724.73 for the premiums, £57.65 for the interest accrued on the premiums and a further 8% interest of £632.40. The total refund is £2,414.78 and fully represents any refund that would be awarded by the Financial Ombudsman Service. "

    Hello Everyone

I just wanted to say a big thank you for everyone on the forum. I have been reading all these stories for the past four months on how to reclaim my PPI.

I just wanted to say that my claim with Welcome Finance went through and I was awarded with £2500 which I was so delighted with. Wasn't expecting so much.

Just keep at these companies I have been phoning every week trying to get update and results show. So everyone please don't quit. Now waiting for my other claims with Sainsbury and Barclays.

    Good Luck everyone.:)

    ;) MASSIVE THANK YOU;)

:D Di, Amersall & all who have helped me on my way! :D

What were you reclaiming: Loan from 2002
    Who was the provider: Egg
How much did you get back: £4632.94
Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: filled in the consumer compliant questionnaire & took all your good advice

And then write your brief reclaim tale

sent off my questionnaire on 6th May, got a letter from egg stating they had my questionnaire for 4 weeks 25th May, then got a we need more time on the 23rd June, then a cheque for the above in the post today! Result :j
:D All the very best to everyone with your progessions :D

no it doesnt but before i sent it off i spoke with someone who had one similar however he advised the ppi was added into the loan amount so u dont see the figures.

hence the reason i sent a reclaim to them.

    Hi,

I had some early success with Egg last year and pursued others for PPI.

MBNA swiftly rejected me in September, the FOS adjudicator upheld my complaint but MBNA stalled on it due to the legal case and have since rejected the FOS adjudicators upheld complaint.

Now it must go to an Ombudsman at the FOS. Does anybody know how much longer it will now take for an Ombudsman to review my case?

By the way, MBNA's letter of rejection was at best arrogant and at worst was suggesting that I was a pillock.

Fight on Charlie - I have a similar experience with Amex and am still waiting for Ombudsman to look at it.
(claim been ongoing since last september)

Hi Rae....congrats on your win from cap 1!!!! Can i ask you a couple of questions....when they said you added it in a phone call to activate a card, was this in a letter that said it was their final response?! As i have has the same response saying my partner added it when he activated a card a year n half after he opend the account. Apparently he didnt orriganly request it when opend in july 04 but then asked to have it added during this call in december 05 when his employment as a soldier was still the same and he swears he didnt ask for this and i doubt he would have done as he would never have been coverd.

    What did you do next??!!

Your help would be very much appriciated!!!:)
