Hi
Oh my gosh, its unbelievable isn't it?
Wonder if you could contact the FOS and ask for another Adjudicator to deal with this case, tell them you don't feel the adjudicator is experienced enough to deal with a case that is rather complexed, whether or not they will do this I do not know, but it seems to me the one now is not that competent.
I must say though, the one I currently have - I think is a young whipper snapper, and I'm totally fed up of more or less telling him what to look for in my complaint that have been ongoing for almost 3 years.
I will be glad when mine does go to the ombudsman.
In your sister's case though, something needs to be done.
Thanks di, it's really nice to be able to talk about things like this with somebody who obviously has more knowledge and experience in these situations. We are both very grateful. Thank you.
After some deliberation, we have decided to give the ombudsman until the 27th of July to sort this out once and for all. That date will mean it will have been 13 weeks since the last communication with the ombudsman, and 7 months since the original conversation took place between the ombudsman and my sister. I think that's more than generous. Maybe it's my naivety but I hoped that once all the evidence had been provided, the ombudsman would be able to proceed without too much difficulty. I'm wondering if the original complication my sister had with Norton finance is causing the problem, as the guy setting up the loan was very crafty, engineering the conversation in such a way that my sister was led to believe that she wouldn't get the loan unless she bought the PPI. But since all the facts have been submitted, by the likes of the DWP, I would hope that it wouldn't be that difficult to see who was at fault and to begin repairing the damage that had been done.
Although is there anything that we could be possibly overlooking? I have realised that these companies are incredibly devious and will try anything to avoid admitting fault and paying up.0 -
hi guys ive been trying to post this all day but seems problem
called shop direct - the case handler dealing with mine not in till late after noon - (im still waiting)
called citi - the PPI dept dont take calls so i had to speak with customer service who finally found my details. When i told hime what my query was he went through to that dept he came back saying the jr was still on hold so they are not dealing and dont know when.
So i told him to tell them this is incorrect - i asked if they were apart of RBS he said no they only have a contract with them.
So i told him to tell the manager in the dept - the jr had been upheld if they are apart of RBS then they have 16 weeks to sort out. if they are not part of rbs then they have 8 weeks.
He asked where i got my info from i advised him FOS.
He went back to them and after about 10 mins he came back and said one of the senior managers requested my details to try and tract down my ppi claim form and wanted all the info name & address and how much ppi i thought it was - which from the sar which has 2 years missing is £1700 - he said they will look into and get back to me immediately.
so kinda looks positive.
as thursday will leave for a couple of days till monday.

Your both very welcome.:A
I hope you hear something well by then, and that is correct, they have had more than ample time.
In my opinion, and going by your posts it seems you have covered absolutely everything and my opinion again is that your sister does have a very strong case here, one that should have been resolved well by now though.
So yes see what happens by that date, and let us know. Cheers.
That would not surprise me one but about that Guy from Norton doing the naughty selling tactics!!!!
Well lets hope that justice will be done soon.
Fingers crossed all round here.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
