    Congratulations :T

Just a quick question, when did you put your RBS claim in?
hello,i put my claim in against RBS on 24th may.
    good luck with your claim:)
  • Just wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone on here who has posted their experiences.
I wrote two lines to Egg, no formal letter, stating that I believed my Egg loan PPI was sold to me on the understanding that I required it to get the loan, and was therefor illegally sold.
4 weeks later I had a letter apologising for the delay. Now 8 weeks later, a full refund + 8% interest!!
    A cheque for over £1500

I felt awkward at the time they said I needed PPI, so I've no problems accepting the refund. But I'm pleased at how good they have been about it.

    WOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

    Hiya

The arrears should not be anything to do with it in my opinion.

And if your sister is in difficulties, a reasonable and affordable monthly arrangement can be made.

Do contact the Claims Regulation in regards of the claims company though, they have dealings with them, they may even chase them up for you.
Although I do not know how claims companies work as such but someone has to control these companies.

    Good luck.;)

This situation just gets more ridiculous by the minute! I'm currently sat at my sister's kitchen table, she has cooked me a lovely dinner, and she has just shown me the statements from the last year of her account with GE. I am absolutely furious. Get a load of this; as of last November her outstanding balance was £6049.31 and despite one of the coldest winters I can remember, she maintained repayments of £300 to clear the arrears as well as making her contractual monthly instalments. Yet according to this statement, GE have charged her an extra £30 a month for 'missing instalment', so it's even harder to clear the outstanding balance. How on earth can these companies get away such conduct? The earlier poster who had difficulty with GE (I do apologise for forgetting your name; I'm on an iPhone which is a bit restricted in terms of what I can see whilst composing a message) was able to shed some light on a few things I was not aware of, so thank you. I always did wonder why my sister would be accepted for a loan on the strength of her severe level of disability and self employed status. The loan was applied for through Norton Finance, and the insurance is with a company called Fintel Ltd. But regardless of who they are, their conduct has been disgusting. I honestly thought the FoS would sort this out but from what I've been told, my sister's claim was placed in the hands of a young lady who appeared to lack experience and skills to deal with such a case. I really don't know what to do next.

    Hi

Oh my gosh, its unbelievable isn't it?

Wonder if you could contact the FOS and ask for another Adjudicator to deal with this case, tell them you don't feel the adjudicator is experienced enough to deal with a case that is rather complexed, whether or not they will do this I do not know, but it seems to me the one now is not that competent.
I must say though, the one I currently have - I think is a young whipper snapper, and I'm totally fed up of more or less telling him what to look for in my complaint that have been ongoing for almost 3 years.
I will be glad when mine does go to the ombudsman.

In your sister's case though, something needs to be done.
