    Hi.

Happy about my success with Egg card, now just contacted Mint about a card I closed in 2005,will hopefully get the same outcome.

Does one bank settling a claim automatically give you a presedent with the others as You can bang them over the head with the fact that they thought You were Incorrectly sold ?:p

Well done Mark on your success!

    Hi all,

Second payout received after my Egg win last week!!!

Santander on behalf of Cahoot Personal loan! this was cancelled in October 2007, month of embanking on DMP, they have sent me a refund of:
    total monthly premium £ 2,258.74
    Interest £ 803.38
Interest on total monthly prem since PPI cancel £ 898.22
    Total Prem + interest £ 3,960.34

I sent the form three weeks ago, received letter from them saying that they are looking into it, last night got home to the above. Have an acceptance form to fill in, which I have done and hopefully the money (£1,450), rest will go to pay off the balance outstanding on this, they will deduct (£2,510.34) but thank GOD at least this is now closed. DMP now stands at just under £21K....just MBNA, Abbey (part of Santander) so hopfully go the same way! and the dreaded Lloyds for my credit card, again, hope this goes my way as it did with their loan PPI last year! will keep you posted.

Again thanks all for the excellent help and advice seen on this board! Good luck to all, keep at it, some seem to be easier at paying out than others, but I'm hopeful that we'll all get there in the end.

    Marvellous!:T:j Congratulations!

Just thought I'd let you know that NRAM have upheld my claim!!!:rotfl:
Was expecting to have to wait weeks before hearing from them. Sent questionnaire back 10 June, so it's only been a couple of weeks.

Letter received today offering £1900!! Still cant believe it. Prehaps I should wait for the money to arrive in my account before celebrating?

All the best to everyone else and I hope that you are all as successful as I have been. Thanks for the help and advice from everyone.

    Well done!:T:j & Congratulations!

    Hi all,

I posted on here back 3 weeks ago 9ish) about getting 13k from MBNA, They paid %k off my card so zero balance and the rest was coming via chq. Anyone had their chq yet and how long did it take, Ive been onto MBNA who say the chw was raised and sent, but not had it yet. Going by their dates on their letters their post takes roughly 10 days to arrive !, but just curious if anyone had their chq back yet.

Reading the posts it appears MBNA are paying out quite a lot, ive got another going thorugh with them at the moment so hoping for anotehr one.

llloyds wrote to me to say my claim was being dealt with but they now have 16 weeks to respond due to the new ruling, Anyone had any success with Llloyds out of interest ?

    Thanks

I put in a claim with Barclays end of June because I received Company sick pay /PHI/Life assurance etc- although for 6 months it would have been half pay sick.

I hope they refund my money as its at least £8000.00!! I'm surprised Barclays haven't been mentioned more on here seeing as they are automatically refunding the complaints that were previously put on hold.

I also phoned Egg who I had a loan and a credit card with back in 2006 I think! They were very help as I had no paperwork they asked for my postcode and found the PPI Reference Number and sent a fax to the PPI complaints department. I have received a letter saying they will get back to me in 8 weeks.

    Good luck everyone :-)

    Good luck Maggie.;)

    Hiya

Good luck on all yours and yes I was recently successful via Lloyds just a few weeks ago, mine was with them before Dec 2010.
I did nag them silly though by constant emails to the Customer Team and copied them on to the CEO lol.:D;) It worked though.
However this was of course before the FSA given them extra time, but there is no harm in asking for updates.

Yes, in the same boat as you for a Debenhams card (I also had a Dorothy Perkins card I have yet to claim on). Same situation as you really Santander have said no to me too. I wrote to FLA who were a waste of time, just past my letter to Santander who referred their final response back to FLA who have said to me unless I can send anything else in to prove I never agreed to PPI, Santander have won. The Santander letter to the FLA also quoted an incorrect card number and store on their letter which the FLA did not even pick up on.

I never would have agreed to PPI. I was standing at a cashier desk in the middle of Debenhams, with my three year old, do they really think that the sales assistant would have run through all the terms and conditions of the insurance with me - I don't think so.

I am waiting for my letter back from the FLA asking them what proof do they expect me to give them - and why is Santander not providing proof to me that the shop assistant sold the policy to me correctly, why is the onus on us to prove it?

    Will keep you post.

Hi there, I'm currently progressing my claim through the FOS as Santander also rejected my claim for ppi on my Debenhams Gold card which was taken out in 2002. I took the card out in store and wasn't told anything about the ppi or it was optional and whether I was already covered, any medical condition which might not be covered etc. The cashier was more interested in getting me to sign for a card so he met his target for that month. I was working in the Police at the time so I didn't have any need for it and the cashier explained that the ppi was actually to cover me for price protection and if I find the same item in another store Debenhams would refund the difference!! After the cashier explained my application would only go through if I ticked the protection box I felt forced to obey. I also asked Santander for the training background of the cashier but they can't produce anything. The FSA fined GE Money regarding this practise so I can't see why they are playing games.I telephoned the FOS today and they stated that someone was actually working on my claim today so I let you all know the outcome. Has anyone been successful againt Debenhams/Santander yet? In light of all the success stories on here lately I can't see why they are messing people about!
