    Hello everyone,

I'm so excited, I just got home and got a reply to my PPI claim with Northern Rock where they agreed I had been mis-sold the insurance!!

They have offered me £2048.97 payout :T

I am over the moon as I was sceptical about whether I'd get anything as I couldn't remember my account number or details. But I put a call into NR who said yes I did have PPI on my loan and then I followed Martins advice on this website, filled in the form, sent it off and 4 weeks later I get this :)

I've got 3 more claims I'm waiting to hear back on so fingers crossed they all come good!!

I'm off to have a glass of champers as it's also my wedding anniversary today so double celebrations

Good luck everyone with your claims!

    :j:j:j:jWhat a result and so fast :T:T:money:
    :dance::dance: Happy anniversary :love:

Hi there, if you think there is a chance that you will get the proof that you did pay ppi before 2006,then i would give FOS a ring and ask what you should do, if Egg is full and final then you may not be able to go back with this.

Well done on your win though :T:T:T

Many thanks amersall. I'm not holding my breath about the statements but I'm not too worried. If I hadn't read about reclaiming on this site and read about all the successes I wouldn't have put in a complaint so I've got a £1000 pounds more than I had(or my debt is £1000 less) all for the cost of a stamp.

I've just worked out that I posted the complaint on 22 June which means it will have arrived on 23 June and the reply letter with the offer is dated 27 June so 4 days turnaround. I checked my account and the balance has already been reduced by the refund.

I've just got a letter from Egg upholding my complaint. They've agreed to refund the premiums for the last 6 years including interest and 8% which equals a payment of £1049.77.

I only sent off my complaint on 22 June so a very quick turnaround.

I am delighted and many thanks to everyone on here for the encouragement.

But I have a query - the card was taken out in 1999 and I cancelled the insurance in 2006 when I started a DMP. I was able to find a statement from 2005 which showed I was paying £69.60 for PPI and I put in my complaint based on that statement (as there was nothing in the credit agreement about PPI).

I put in a SAR last week to EGG because I have another credit card which does mention PPI in the credit agreement but i couldn't find any statements indicating how much.

It looks to me as though EGG have refunded the ppi back to 2005 but not before that. They have indicated in their letter that the refund will be paid into the account which still has an outstanding balance in full and final settlement and that this is their final response.

My question is that if they respond to my SAR, produce all of the statements and it appears I have been paying ppi since 1999 will I then be able to go to FOS to have the complaint reviewed as it is likely that they will owe me significantly more than they've refunded me?

I hope that doesn't make me sound ungrateful because believe me I'm absolutely not.

Have they said this is their final offer?
May be worth a call to see if they will up it. Di or Amersall will know more, but congrats on getting any kind of result so quickly!!!!

2nd win in 3 weeks for my partner, this time HSBC CC PPI.

sent the original complaint on 23.3.2011 & received a letter today offering £745. Will accept but 1 little whine. They're only going back to July 2005 but the account was opened in 2002, they're saying they can't go back further unless we have evidence.

    Anybody else had this?

Still got the offer so good news & thanks to all for previous help

    Well done to you.:T & Congratulations!

It seems they could not longer hold the details and are requesting that if you do they will work the calculations from then on.

Wondered if they have checked with the data dept?
Or give the data a call and ask them if they still hold any details from when you taken out the loan if you've not done so yet.

I understand then this must be procedure to mention this in case you do still have the paperwork handy.;)

Hope it gets through this time.

I know what you mean about being passed from on to another, its time wasting isn't it?

    Good luck x

Thanks again Di, managed to send email successfully this time!!! Received a response saying they could not track my account details, surprise, surprise, I had given my account number & address at time of loan + present address!!!! Think they are stalling me as I gave the exact details when requesting my loan agreement terms & conditions to which they sent a copy!!! They didn't respond to my second email! Here's hoping I get a reply today!!!! Very excited though, just found another 4 loans/credit cards my partner has had over the years all with PPI and all closed so here's again hoping we will get some cash in our pocket with those ones!!! Well done on all your wins Di, it's all great stuff!!!!
