Hi.
Happy about my success with Egg card, now just contacted Mint about a card I closed in 2005,will hopefully get the same outcome.
Does one bank settling a claim automatically give you a presedent with the others as You can bang them over the head with the fact that they thought You were Incorrectly sold ?:p

Hi all,
Second payout received after my Egg win last week!!!
Santander on behalf of Cahoot Personal loan! this was cancelled in October 2007, month of embanking on DMP, they have sent me a refund of:
total monthly premium £ 2,258.74
Interest £ 803.38
Interest on total monthly prem since PPI cancel £ 898.22
Total Prem + interest £ 3,960.34
I sent the form three weeks ago, received letter from them saying that they are looking into it, last night got home to the above. Have an acceptance form to fill in, which I have done and hopefully the money (£1,450), rest will go to pay off the balance outstanding on this, they will deduct (£2,510.34) but thank GOD at least this is now closed. DMP now stands at just under £21K....just MBNA, Abbey (part of Santander) so hopfully go the same way! and the dreaded Lloyds for my credit card, again, hope this goes my way as it did with their loan PPI last year! will keep you posted.
Again thanks all for the excellent help and advice seen on this board! Good luck to all, keep at it, some seem to be easier at paying out than others, but I'm hopeful that we'll all get there in the end.

Could you please tell me when you first put your claim with llloyds tsb.
Sorry for the delay in replying - I've only just seen this.
Believe it or not, I missed the Judicial Review cut-off by a week. So my complaint was on-hold from mid-October 2010. In a bizarre twist though, the letter I received yesterday states "we made our decision in respect of your complaint before the BBA issued its legal proceedings against the FSA AND FOS". Work that one out !?!?!?!?
Anyway, since June 1st I have either e-mailed, rung and chased pretty much everyday. Mind you, they say they will pay in the next 45 days so not there just yet.0 -
I'm new to this, so please bear with me.
I have a loan with Northern Rock which I took out in Jan 2006. Although the application was done online, when I received documents I noticed there was an error, so i rang to see if they had correct info, which they did. whilst i was on the phone I asked if I really needed the PPI as i didn't really want it. I was told that the bronze life cover was the miniumum insurance i could take out. I told them that I already had a stand alone insurance cover that would cover me in case of my death. they said I would still need their cover. I also asked if there were any exclusions to the policy, to be told there were none. Well being a bit green around the gills I thought they knew better.
Well just discovered as I was changing my life policy to a new insurance company, that I was covered by my stand alone policy.
To top it off, having read the terms of the PPI I have also discovered that I have a condition which was diagnosed before I took out loan. This is not covered on policy should I pop my clogs from it.
Does anyone think i have a case for claiming mis sold PPi? or am I wasting my time trying to claim back my money?
Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.
Just thought I'd let you know that NRAM have upheld my claim!!!:rotfl:
Was expecting to have to wait weeks before hearing from them. Sent questionnaire back 10 June, so it's only been a couple of weeks.
Letter received today offering £1900!! Still cant believe it. Prehaps I should wait for the money to arrive in my account before celebrating?
All the best to everyone else and I hope that you are all as successful as I have been. Thanks for the help and advice from everyone. :beer:0 -

Hi HP, I would be inclined to advise anybody contacting the lnder for a copy of the credit agreement to go the whole hog - rather than paying £1 and asking for just the CCA, pay £10 and send a full SAR, its mazing what info they can hold on you and in my case it jogged my memeory about an older loan I had that was shown in the application form!h0pusp0pus wrote: »still waiting this end
