PPI Reclaiming successes and failures

Hello everyone,
I'm so excited, I just got home and got a reply to my PPI claim with Northern Rock where they agreed I had been mis-sold the insurance!!
They have offered me £2048.97 payout :T
I am over the moon as I was sceptical about whether I'd get anything as I couldn't remember my account number or details. But I put a call into NR who said yes I did have PPI on my loan and then I followed Martins advice on this website, filled in the form, sent it off and 4 weeks later I get this
I've got 3 more claims I'm waiting to hear back on so fingers crossed they all come good!!
I'm off to have a glass of champers as it's also my wedding anniversary today so double celebrations
Good luck everyone with your claims!
Well done to you!:T Congratulations & on your Anniversary!:beer:The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I've had some really dark days as far as money and Lloyds TSB is concerned, and all the time they were ripping me off. I really hope those of you who have been struggling financially manage to get the right result and real soon too. I can honestly say I never want to go through this experience again.
I'll be looking for a new bank from tomorrow.
Di - you are an absolute superstar on this board. Seeing your positive posts are what keeps people like me going. Thank you.
Jeff, that is wonderful news! Well done to you.:T:j & Congratulations.
Your very welcome, I love knowing that the money is back in your own pockets where it belongs x:AThe one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I know all about dark days with Lloyds TSB Jeff Leppard! But at least you have had a fantastic outcome in regards to claiming PPI. Well done to ya! Thats a stonking amount, which of course you thoroughly deserve. As do all the other winners on here.
I hope everyone else is as successful (including myself:rotfl:). Especially those with Lloyds (sorry for the bias). I love reading all these success stories. Really warms the cockles and keeps dispair levels at a minimum. :rotfl:

Hi all.
Got a £1500 refund from Egg on a credit card
Just waiting to hear about a Loan and LloydsTsb Credit card.
Wish me luck.
Mark :T
Congratulations on your Egg win!!! Did you originally apply for this card on line and when did you originally put in your claim. I have a claim in with Egg but am doubtful that I will "win" as I applied on line and I have heard that if you do that they reject the claim.0 -
Hi Dizzywithmoney
Fist complained about the 10th May so about six week turnaround.
Still waiting on a loan I have with them, but here is hoping:D

I am delighted and many thanks to everyone on here for the encouragement.
But I have a query - the card was taken out in 1999 and I cancelled the insurance in 2006 when I started a DMP. I was able to find a statement from 2005 which showed I was paying £69.60 for PPI and I put in my complaint based on that statement (as there was nothing in the credit agreement about PPI).
I put in a SAR last week to EGG because I have another credit card which does mention PPI in the credit agreement but i couldn't find any statements indicating how much.
It looks to me as though EGG have refunded the ppi back to 2005 but not before that. They have indicated in their letter that the refund will be paid into the account which still has an outstanding balance in full and final settlement and that this is their final response.
My question is that if they respond to my SAR, produce all of the statements and it appears I have been paying ppi since 1999 will I then be able to go to FOS to have the complaint reviewed as it is likely that they will owe me significantly more than they've refunded me?
I hope that doesn't make me sound ungrateful because believe me I'm absolutely not.

Well done on your win though :T:T:T0 -
