    Posted on behalf of my OH - offer received today;
    • What were you reclaiming: Loan with £2,489 o/s balance
    • Who was the provider: NRAM
    • How much did you get back: £1,079 PPI + £518 8% interest total = £1,597
    • Did you get it back after a letter or did you go to the Financial Ombudsman: PPI questionnaire sent 09/05/11
    • And then write your brief reclaim tale: Many thanks to all of those that provided much needed support and advice on this fantastic forum. The amount will reduce my OH's o/s balance to just under £1,000 with this provider! Two complaints upheld to date - another two in the system.
    :j:beer:WELL DONE ON YOUR EFFORTS:beer::j

    Just spoke to a lovely man at the Ombudsman Office, he has advised that I complain to the underwriters of the poilcy, in 1998 they were
    Financial Insurance Co Ltd and Financial Assurance co Ltd members of Companies of Consolidated Financial Insurance .
    He is sending me out a complaint form and details of where to send it to.
    Maybe if you gave them a call they might be able to help its only a phone call.
    Fingers crossed for us both!

    Everything crossed.;)

    Just thought I'd let you know that NRAM have upheld my claim!!!:rotfl:
    Was expecting to have to wait weeks before hearing from them. Sent questionnaire back 10 June, so it's only been a couple of weeks.

    Letter received today offering £1900!! Still cant believe it. Prehaps I should wait for the money to arrive in my account before celebrating?

    All the best to everyone else and I hope that you are all as successful as I have been. Thanks for the help and advice from everyone. :beer:
    :beer::beer: Congratulations :beer::beer:

    I'm waiting for a reply from NRAM too and we're into week 6 since sending the questionaire.

    Hi guys
    Just a quick update, had a letter from FOS today BOS complaint been upheld will let me have calculations within fourteen days, thats two in a week three more to go just waiting for the pennies now. This is all down to the great advice given from Di and Amersall once again your both ACE
  • Received a letter yesterday offering a refund of £1439.31 on my PPI and an 8% payment of £380.52 from those nice people at Northern Rock.

    Now then, has anyone NOT taken the payment and opted to take their case to the FOS?

    For the record I will be accepting the payment but purely as a nosey bugga I was wondering if anyone had had succeess going forward.

    Good luck all

    :rotfl:Cheeky cheeky :D:D:D;)
    You only go to FOS if the redress is not the full redress, or you know they have made a mistake, people have gone to FOS and won in these circumstances.

    Well done on your win :T:T
