I downloaded the PPI complaint form and to date have complained to
Santander (D Perkins store card see my previous posts)
Marks and Spencer (trawling through the pages here and I cannot find anyone mentioning MnS or their exerience), this is for a loan I also had PPI on a store card but am yet to complain.
Alliance and Leicester (no response despite being sent over 3 wks ago)
Barclaycard (recieved letter saying they are investigating~
RBS (same as A and L)
    MBNA as yet no reply
What is a reasonable time scale to expect a reply from these companies, anyone have any idea??

    Hi

The standard for a decision is 8 weeks, but normally an acknowledgement by 2-3 weeks after they received your complaint, some only a 1 week to confirm.
If they require more time, they should write to let you know.

Hope this helps, but if you've not received a confirmation letter yet, give them a call to chase it up, good luck on them all.;)

Morning! I have found another old account with the bank of Scotland on my credit report, I want to find out if I had PPI on it, but have no paperwork and they only give the last 4 digits? Do you think they could trace it back (2003)?

    Hiya

I am not sure, but if you have a local EVANS store and still have your account number maybe they will be able to track this down for you, but otherwise write to the head office for the details of the insurance policy (which you don't always have unless you request for this), they should be able to supply the details.

    Good luck.

    Hiya

There is a chance of you trying to get hold of this by either asking the bank where you paid direct debit for the loan repayments, or if you bank online this should allow you as far as I am aware to go back to 2002.
The account number is generally shown next to the loan monthly repayments.;)
