    Success!

I sent a letter to the CoOp Bank in May, stating the reasons why I felt the PPI had been mis-sold and asking for a refund.

Today, I received a letter advising that they've upheld my complaint, and offering me a settlement of just over £4,000.

No questionnaire needed, one letter and a 39p stamp was all it took.

This gives me great hope with my outstanding claim with them on 2/3 loans!!!

    Congrats:T

Thanks - and good luck with yours.

The greatest satisfaction is that, having made the complaint myself, I get to keep 100% of my payment.

I just wanted to Thank everyone especially Di and Amersall.

You might remember remember that Barclays paid out one of my policies before the JR giving a refund of about £3200.00 in September 2010.

Barclays placed the other policy on hold during JR. I forwarded the complaint to FOS but today I recieved a further cheque from Barclays for £920.00. Thank you for all your help.

Arrived home and was excited to find an envelope from M&S re my Credit Card PPI only to open it and see the standard letter saying they now have 16 weeks to respond as opposed to 8! Never mind, at least it wasn't a no. Yet!

    Hi

The standard for a decision is 8 weeks, but normally an acknowledgement by 2-3 weeks after they received your complaint, some only a 1 week to confirm.
If they require more time, they should write to let you know

    Hi there,

Can this really be true? I only ask because the FOS have been dealing with the claim I'm helping my sister with since January 2011; almost 12 months after it had been submitted to the Claims Recovery Company.
Approximately nine weeks have passed since the FOS acknowledged receipt of the final piece of evidence to support my sister's claim (she hadn't worked enough to pay the correct rate of N.I. so she wasn't eligible for the PPI). Yet nine weeks later we haven't heard a word from the FOS; the staff at GE Money remain a bunch of unpleasant sods, and we are no further forward. I just don't understand; my sister explained that she was self-employed because of being disabled; her award letters for her DLA were submitted as her only proof of income; the adjudicator is aware of all of this, yet the whole thing appears to have been a waste
of time. Has anybody had any similar experiences or maybe has a better understanding of the process than we do?
