    Hi Amersall,
Thanks very much for your advice, fortunately the only paperwork that survived the mass shreading were bank statements,so should be no problem hunting out completion dates etc. well here goes .... nothing ventured nothing gained...hopefully!! Thanks again

I WILL NEVER give up....... I wont let the Ba* * * * d s grind me down.......... it was my daughters hard earnt money and now is in hardship because of it so I WANT to win for her sake Thanks Everyone I am most gratefull x

:money:I just wanted to say that I have just recieved a letter from the HSBC bank after speaking to them yesterday...... they have offered a full and final settlement of the whole loan plus interest paid... OVER £3,500 for my daughter...Woo Hoo, even tho they said they did not agree with the reasons for my claiming in the first place, BUT I do not care, those words say it all....... now my daughter can sleep tonight knowing they are paying back what I see as money that was rightfully hers in the first place.
Thankyou to Everyone on this site who offer their experiences and advise I would buy you all a drink........ CHEERS

    Hi Amersall,
Thanks very much for the link to Santander that you gave me,but before I phone them,do you think there is anything that i should avoid saying on my initial call,I don't want to comprimise my chances of any claims.
As you can tell, this is my first time at this, and I feel a little nervous that I will say the wrong thing!!!
    Thanks again

Hi as amersall says as long as you can get hold of the account number, was sold and mis sold PPI, you can still continue to make a reclaim with minimum paperwork.

I was also going to suggest if you do online banking, this should allow you to go back to about 2002 - where you can check statements, account numbers of loans, which should be shown next to the monthly repayments, good luck and follow the link to the reclaim questionnaire below - step 3.

Remember to keep copies, send one to the head office or complaints dept of whoever sold you the account and allow 8 weeks for a decision, good luck.
