Spoke to fscs who eventually directed me to the FOS as my account was an old one. They advised me to put in a claim to the insurence provider. Forms came very quickly and were filled in and sent back. Last week i recived a letter from aviva to say my claim had been upheld and today £4011 was credited to my bank account. I would just like to say a big thank you for the advice and to tell everybody not to give up as i did not think i stood a chance of claiming this back.
Think you may be the first to post a win like this
Well done :beer:0 -

Congratulations Beckstar. I also have a compliant with HSBC, went in October 2010. Have heard nothing from them. Can I be cheeky and ask you what your reason for mis selling was. And any chance you can briefly say what you put in the letter to the CEO. It will be much appreciated.
Again, well done
Hey there,
The reason I gave for mis selling was that it wasn't explained clearly at the time of accepting, and was under the impression that I couldn't take loan without it. Also stated I was in permanent employment and chance of redundancy etc... was small at the time.
In the email I sent to the CEO, I explained I'd been waiting patiently since November, and that I'd not heard anything since the Court Hearing result. Explained that I'm in financial hardship (which they'll be able to see by my bank balance!) and asked it was looked into as soon as possible... which they obviously did!
Still waiting on funds to be in my account- so hopefully they won't delay for much longer!
Good luck with your complaint!0 -

Sent confirmation straight away, they say money will be with me next week. How quick was that, hope the others (Lloyds, Halifax) are the same. I phoned my complaints through, seemed quick and easy to do, rather than loads of letters and forms, would recommend people do the same, but keep records.
Good luck everyone.0 -

Hi
Just been reading with great interest about reclaims and am considering checking out reclaiming on a couple of loans from A and L taken out 2004 and 2006. I have only got paperwork for the second loan as the first loan was paid off 2 years ago (mass shreading project!!).Can I still claim on a loan without account number etc.
Well done Jewels 142 on your success, would you happen to have the phone number you used to contact Santandar?0 -
