Thanks for that information!! I so hope you are right with what we would have paid FP back, it would be so nice to think we would be owed that much!!! I am not being greedy, just interested, but would we also get interest on the £10,570 or would that be exempt from interst?

I am trying to hang it out as much as possible as at the moment we dont have £450, other than the money to pay our bills with!!! But anyway I spoke to Barclays (or whatever company FP are calling themselves now) and asked what if we wanted to cancel the claims company, the guy said that they would need it in writing that it had been cancelled, yet the other person I spoke to just said he would put a note on the account. I would like to think that the first guy I spoke to did put a note on the account and we can take it from there!!!

I was told today that the offers are all being sent out within 4 weeks and then payment will be made within another 4 weeks so that they can have everyone paid out by the 31st August.
This is awkward isnt it:mad: and so frustrating, give FP aring again and ask if the note has been put on saying you are cancelling the company and that you dont want FP to comunicate with them anymore.

It is a shame that you couldnt get the 450, that is like a fortune to me and you!, dont you know anyone at all that could help you with this and give it them back from your refund? dont want the company to realise that FP have paid out and send you a bill !!!!the sooner you cancel this the better.

I too think £450 is a fortune at the moment!! A couple of years or so I would have just been able to pay it but not at the moment!! I keep racking my brains to think who I dare ask to loan it from but keep coming up with a blank!!! Thanks for all your info I really appreciate it. I will keep you informed.

I've just found the letter that Northern Rock sent us to say they had received our complaint and it says 'we aim to resolve your complaint within eight weeks, keeping you informed of progress'

We haven't had any information from them and it's been 4 weeks since we got that letter. Should we give them a ring to find out what's happening or just leave them to it?
  • Hi
What date did you send your complaint off to HFC please?

The last letter I sent was on the 11/05/11 & received my offer from hfc on the 16/06/11. Still waiting for payment but going to give them a call today.

  • Thanks to your site I have successfully received £17K from MBNA through the misselling of PPI. They have insisted that some is used to pay off my credit card, this has still left me with a substantial amount. Thank You
