I find it absolutely outrageous that they can say you have to reply within 4 weeks, because that's their time limit, when the banks frequently go over the 8 weeks set by their regulatory body. It's disgusting. Perhaps you should remind them of that.

    Keep at them... :)

I agree, have you at anytime been sent a letter saying that they were behind schedule/under pressure and it may take a little longer than expected to get your details? If so perhaps quoting them their letter reference to them and saying something along the lines of well I gave you some leeway how about the same in return.
You should go on to the thread elsewhere in the forum where there is a part for public sector workers, post there see if anyone works in NI who could perhaps help out, just a thought. I'm a civil servant just dont work for NI, shame or I would've offered.
Thanks to all the competition posters.

well done you when did you put them into black horse i'm waiting for 3 with them hope you don't have towait too long for yourmoney

    Hi there,

I registered my 2 complaints with Black Horse on 8th December 2010. They were put on hold due to the JR and since the last couple of weeks i've been bang on their case, writing letters and emailing the CEO of Lloyds!
Yes lets hope I don't have to wait too long, but at least I know i'm getting the money back now :D

When did you register your complaints?

Good luck, hope you get some good news soon ;)

No , NI haven't sent a letter saying there will be a delay. I'm a Civil Servant too and I know how long these things take.
I know that when I eventually send the details to Santander they will ask for more information ( probably my husbands NI details even though the card had nothing to do with him. Their original letter said that if I was not working at the time ( which is why they want the NI details to prove this ) the policy would then pass on to the 'breadwinner'.
I think they are making the rules up as they go along, it was a bit like talking to 'computer says no' . They probably hope we will give up while they keep putting obstacles in our way.

I read all the info on this site and asked my partner if she had PPI on her loan, when she checked the documents we noticed she had PPI. A rough calculation showed she had paid £1000 to them for a £5000 loan.

We sent of the forms and within 2 weeks we have received a reply and we have been offered £1,134.

Couldn't be happier, for only a 20 minutes work and the price of a stamp we have clawed back all of the of monies.

Now to move onto my accounts and fingers crossed it goes the same way.

Thanks to Moneysavingexpert and the users of this forum as it wouldnt have happened without you.

No, it was from a loan from Welcome Finance. I only had it for about a year before it was paid off.
THey sent me a claim form as they have now gone into liquidation.
    As for Santander:mad:

  • Cap1 say they will not consider our PPI claim because we supposedly ticked a box on the internet in Feb 2005 when we took the card out that agreed to PPI. Does this stand? They say i now need to go on the Financial Ombudsman...
