    Di, thanks for your reply.

Cap1's letter to me says it was a case of a tick box, so i would have had to choose NO - and they claim i chose YES, and they gave me 30 day cooling off period and complete Ts & Cs in the post.

I cannot honestly remember, it was 6 years and two autistic children ago, kwim?

However, i KNOW they were fined for not sending out complete Ts & Cs for the time period we took the card out. So.....

also, the card was, according to them, taken out completely online and without us ever speaking to a human being - what about distance selling rules?

am currently building up my evidence base for the ombudsman, inc the first letter we got, any emails ican find around that time, etc. Is there anything else we can do to help ourselves here?

    Hiya

    And your welcome.;)
I understand online it can be an opt out thing, so basically when you applied it was already there, and maybe in small print somewhere it states about opting out, although I am not sure.

Have you also requested for a SAR (Subject Access Request).
More below with template letter if you want to do this.

Well Done!!! Can i ask how long it took them to pay the money in to your account, we were offered 1603.00 last saturday signed form and sent it back the same day. Just wondered how long it would take them to pay it in. Many Thanks and congratulations.

Congratulations, I waited 7days for Santander to credit my account. but the letter did say to allow 28 days .

Well done to everyone who has succeeded in getting THEIR money returned to them.

I am still awaiting my success.....

Quick question for all those who have been successful with credit card ppi claims:

Did you get back,PPI premiums,Interest apllied to the PPI premiums and 8% interest in compensation / restitution?

Or is it one or the other in respect of interest?

    Matty
  • I was miss sold PPI in 1998 which I payed off in 2003, this was with Lloyds tsb, who have a dedicated call centre for PPI so I called them however due to moving house I have no paperwork for it

They sent a letter stating they cannot find my policy details

I know it's outside of the sixe year window but is there anything I can do to retrieve these details and attempt to claim?

    Hi Matty

Mine was a while ago now in regards of the Credit Card ppi, all I remember was it worked out different to that of loan ppi.

Have you taken a look on the thread Maxdp posted below, on how the FOS calculates loan/credit card ppi?

Hope your not waiting too long now.;)
